Spent the weekend cleaning up the house! Returned all the extra materials, took out the trash, and swept the floors to get ready for the flooring installation! The cabinets are being installed, and the island will be finished tomorrow. All the ceilings have been skimmed and painted, and the first coat is on the walls. When we purchased the home, it had textured ceilings. We decided to go ahead and sand them down and skim them for a smooth finish! This gives the house a much more modern look. The majority of the Sheetrock has been finished and primed. Interior door units are going in this week, as well as a new front and back exterior door. Bathrooms will be starting soon as well; we are going to install a large walk-in tile shower with dual shower heads. Stay tuned!

Life's been busy and the house got put on hold! But we're back at it. Windows and house wrap are installed, and the insulation is in. We've started installing drywall as well. The electrician came over, roughed in the addition, and flipped the electrical panel around so it now sits in the closet! While he had it all loose, he went ahead and organized and properly labeled everything. Next, we'll be working on the sheetrock and skimming all the ceilings in the house!

I finally got around to tearing off the old roof! I didn't want to replace it, but after inspecting it, I found some rot and water damage that needed fixing. Since the house no longer has a fireplace, I took this chance to remove the chimney too.
