Data controller

The operator of TTAnon is the data controller responsible for personal data processed on this site. Contact: [email protected]

What we collect

• No accounts. There is no sign-up and no login.
• No tracking cookies and no third-party advertising or analytics scripts.
• Video playback. When you press play, your browser loads the video file directly from TikTok's video CDN, which receives your IP address and the request headers your browser sends for that file. Pages, images, sounds, captions and downloads come from our server.
• Web server logs. To deliver pages and to find abuse and errors, our web server logs each request: your IP address, the address of the page (including any search terms in it), the request headers your browser sends (such as its user agent and the referring page), the response and the time. These access logs are deleted after at most 30 days.
• Application logs record the page, status and timing of each request, but not your IP address, except when a client exceeds our rate limit: that warning includes its IP address. They take a fixed amount of disk space, so older entries are overwritten as new ones arrive.
• Rate limiting. To limit abusive traffic and to count each visitor's view of a page only once in our popularity lists, we keep your IP address (or the network part of an IPv6 address) only in server memory, never in our database or cache. It is gone after a restart.
• Searches you type are used only to show you results. Search terms are cached together with their results for at most 7 days, without your IP address or anything else that identifies you, and our cache backups are deleted after 7 days. A public profile, hashtag or topic you look up may be added to our list of public pages.
