Right now. Get over here right now! No! And you know what? You guys get on TikTok and you complain about this? This is shit. This is shit right there. Hey, guys, here's another parent coaching 1:01, where I give you my personal tips and advice on how you could better manage your child who has autism. Now, in this video, you can see that the father did a very poor job at handling his child's behaviors. Apparently, this little boy, um, has a habit of playing with his poop. Um, he does a thing where he goes in his diaper and takes his poop out and just throws it all over the place. Now, if you notice in the video, the child was already anticipating getting in trouble by his father, because when the father walked in, he was already scared and hiding. But the way the dad handled it was completely overboard. He was yelling, cussing, screaming, instead of trying to get to the root of why his son was playing with his poop. So here are my thoughts and my reasoning as to why his son was doing that. So if you watch the video, you notice that his poop was like pebbles. They were small and. And round and looked hard. So that could have been a sign of constipation. Right? So if he was constipated, my thoughts is that he was uncomfortable. He did not like the feeling of these hard rocks being in his Diaper. And so what he did was he took them out. Another reason for why I think he was taking the poop out of his diaper is because he might have just been sensory seeking. He probably liked the feeling of his poop and wanted to, you know, play with it now. And knowing those two possible factors, now is time to start problem solving. Having children with autism is nothing but solving problems. Trial and error, trying to get to the root of a behavior. So if, for one, he is constipated now, you're just gonna have to try to figure out how to incorporate more fiber into his diet or change his diet around. Um, that way he's able to pass stool without being so constipated. Now, I know a lot of kids with autism aren't really open to trying new foods, but you're gonna have to try to find a way to make the food more tolerable. So instead of apples, you can try the apple sauce, like, pouches. Um, you could try, uh, sweet potatoes, um, berries, oatmeals. Um, or you could hit me up and I could help you with, um, you know, getting your child open to new foods, and we could, you know, do some, like, food training now. Two, if he is just uncomfortable, and that's the reason why he is taking his poop out of his diaper, then change his diaper more frequently. Um, set a schedule where you are checking His diaper and making sure that he is not sitting in it and in discomfort. Um, but also, you're gonna have to start potty training him. It's gonna be hard, but it's something that you're gonna have to do. Um, and if you want a long term solution. If not, you're just gonna be yelling constantly, repeatedly, and it's just gonna last too long. And three. I know I said two, but there's three. Three. If he is sensory seeking and he just likes the feeling of his poop and just likes playing with it, then you can look for some sensory toys, like this one. Um, you can type up, you can, like, it's a quick Google search. So whatever you feel like your child gravitates towards that's, like, inappropriate to play with, then you can just Google search, like, sensory toys that look like this, sensory toys that feel like this, and from there, you could, you know, find things that is more appropriate to play with that's not his poop. Um, and that might solve the sensory seeking issue. Now, I hope this helped. And again, if you need any further assistance or coaching, just hit me up and we can work together.
