Tw - PND when your baby camera catches the moment you hit rock bottom in your postnatal journey for a second time round, With both my children i have suffered PND, i have had mental health issues majority of my adult life but post natal is by far the most brutal thing i have ever had to endure, my first daughter i had no instant love no automatic connect like they say you get, my second i had that i got all those feels and still ended up very much in the same position, 2 very different pregnancys, children, birth and after birth experinces, the problem lied with me! Its been 12 months since this very moment and i remember it like yeaturday! This video is in no way shape or form for any sort of attention, its to bring much needed awearness to something not many people know or speak about, im so lucky i have the support unit around me that i have had both times once i spoke out, they were able to pull me from the trenches! After my first daughter, I genuinely didn’t want any more children. ❤️‍🩹 Not because I didn’t love being a mum, but because I struggled SO badly with PND. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through, and the thought of going through it all over again terrified me. I was scared to grow our family because I didn’t know if I could survive feeling that way again. And sadly, 6 months in, that fear became my reality. The PND came back, and it was just as hard as I had feared. People don’t always see the battles that happen behind closed doors. They see the beautiful moments, the little smiles, the family photos… but they don’t always see the mum who is struggling to find herself again while trying to be everything for everyone else. Postnatal depression is so much more than just being tired or overwhelmed. It can change the way you feel about yourself, your life and even the things you once dreamed of. And if you’ve ever felt this way, please know you’re not a bad mum. You’re not ungrateful. You’re not failing. You’re struggling, and you deserve support, love and understanding, too. 🤍 Motherhood can be beautiful and still be incredibly hard. Both things can be true. 🫶🏼
