I designed Aurevia, a wealthtech product built around one question: What needs my attention right now? Financial advisers deal with a lot of information across banks, insurers, investment platforms and documents. Aurevia brings that workflow into one experience: Client → Assets → Portfolio → Insights → Action From understanding a client’s financial picture to analysing portfolios, identifying risks, generating insights, creating recommendations and preparing for meetings. The goal? Less time assembling the story. More time advising the client. Aurevia is an independent product concept exploring Fintech, WealthTech, Financial UX, B2B SaaS, dashboards, data visualization and complex product design. I decided to turn a job application into a product. 👀 What started as a simple idea quickly became a storytelling website. I came across @imagi while researching interesting startups and what they were building around AI, education, and creativity. I cold dm the founder Dora and @bea to ask about Product Design opportunities, and a few months later, Beatrice reached out about their Founding Product Designer role. I applied, made the required video, then thought: Why not build the answer instead? I took inspiration from a cover letter concept I saw on @YouTube , went down a @pinterest rabbit hole for visual references, fell in love with the bookshelf-style direction, and started building. @Anthropic Claude Code + @Google Antigravity + a lot of digging through old Google Photos. 😂 Going through old pictures from my graphic design days, early product design days, teaching, and experimenting with technology was unexpectedly nostalgic. Then I got friends to test it, especially the mobile experience, because I knew there was a good chance the founders would view it on their phones. I iterated, refined the interactions, used imagi's brand colours, and honestly, I love how it turned out. This is probably the furthest I've gone for a job application, but I'm glad I took the shot. I built a mental health app I wouldn't use myself. So I rebuilt it. MindWell started as my final-year project. I built the first version based on what I thought students needed, then realised it felt too complex. So I stopped and talked to students. Their feedback completely changed the product. I rebuilt it, tested it with users, iterated on the AI when it felt too robotic and vague, and eventually brought in external AI providers to improve the experience. I also designed and built the product directly with Claude Code, with Supabase powering the backend. My biggest lesson? Don't just build what you think people need. Build. Listen. Test. Iterate. I redesigned Ten10’s landing page https://test-amber-alpha-16.vercel.app/ into a more premium commercial painting brand experience. The original site already had a memorable scroll-bound van interaction, so I kept that idea and elevated the surrounding experience. What changed: • More premium hero composition • Cleaner floating navigation • Stronger service and project sections • Better “Why Ten10” trust section • Modern footer • Improved mobile experience • Better copy, spacing, imagery, and visual hierarchy The goal was to make Ten10 feel more trustworthy, more professional, and better positioned for high-value commercial clients. For Project 3 of my #Project30Challenge, I’m keeping it simple 👇🏽 First, I wrote the HTML as fast as I could. Then I used ChatGPT to review and clean it up. Now I’m sketching out how I’ll handle the CSS. Before writing it, I list the areas I need to improve — because CSS is my weak point right now 😩 But I’m learning by doing: I try, break it, figure it out, and try again. This project challenged me — might look simple, but CSS still isn't second nature (yet). First time building without copying straight from AI. My method now: Build → get stuck → debug → revisit course → ask GPT or a dev friend. Way more effective than just consuming tutorials. ✅ First project done. Seeing my CSS work brought me real joy. Just finished a 1-hour call with my dev friend Ajibola 😮‍💨 He helped me fix that stubborn bug that even ChatGPT couldn’t solve 😭 Takeaway: 👉 Get friends that sabi code! 👉 Don’t wait for perfection — move forward, you can always come back and fix things later. While I was stuck, I still made progress — continued my CSS course and even started building a Dropbox homepage clone (ambition dey choke me 😅).
