Nothing says fall in Maine quite like a day at the fair. Between the rides, livestock, classic fair food, and a fresh pour of Allagash White at the beer tent at Fryeburg Fair this week, that's a day well spent!

We brought our sales team from across the country to Maine for All-Staff Week. We think there is no better way to connect as a team than to enjoy our home state, in person. So we headed up to @Kingsley Pines Camp for a classic Maine summer camp experience! It was truly the best day; we’re lucky to work with such incredible people who are as good at having fun as they are at selling beer!

A perfect pour of Allagash White calls for the perfect glass, a chalice, and the perfect amount of foam. Foam helps carry the aroma and flavor from the glass to your nose, which is an important part of the experience. Put these two together and that's the perfect pour of Allagash white!

A fun fact you may have never thought about is how our Variety Packs are packaged. It's a completely different system than any of our other packaged beer. Before we can even get to packing day, we have to go back a few steps. Our brewing team schedules all four beers for brewing, fermentation, and canning in advance. Once they're canned, they're stored in our warehouse until it's time to package. Then it's time to bring all four beers back from the warehouse and set them up in separate lanes. Our team works together to make sure every pack gets the right mix of beers. This process has been extremely well thought out to make it as efficient as possible, and the team moves as fast as the line safely allows. It's a lot of planning, a lot of teamwork, and a lot of hands. And they make it look easy! So next time you grab a Variety Pack, give a little cheers to the team that packed it by hand right here at Allagash!

When we say From Maine, with Love we mean all of Maine. And each year we’re so lucky to head up all the way up to Aroostook County to visit our farmer friends who grow incredible grains for our beers and offer some of the best Maine hospitality around.

Turns out “I could pour a beer with my eyes closed” is just an expression.

We love our community, and we’re so grateful that they love us right back. The people of Portland, Maine, voted us Best Brewery AND Best Maine Beer for Allagash White, in the annual Old Port Awards. There are some amazing breweries here in Portland, with world-class beers and kind, knowledgeable staff, many of whom we call friends. So cheers to our team, whose day in, day out hard work makes these accolades possible. And cheers to all of you for supporting us by drinking cold, tasty beer!

Expectation: beer. Reality: so much more!!

The good news about this mountain of plastic: it’s all getting recycled. Yesterday was a drop-off day for the recycling co-op that we run out of our warehouse. Ten local businesses drop off their hard-to-recycle materials, and we weigh them, bale them up, and deliver them to places they’ll be properly turned into new things. We took in a whopping 2,252 lbs of plastic. A truly banner day for keeping #2, #4, and #5 plastic out of the landfill!

Yep, those kegs are upside down. Because, when we say “flip it & sip it” we really mean it. Every single keg of Allagash White is shipped flipped, as seen here. Just like flipping your can or bottle before opening, every keg has to be turned over before its tapped—distributing all of that citrusy and smooth haze throughout the beer. It’s just another example of the lengths we go to make sure every pour of Allagash White is flippin’ tasty. *We sped up our robot in post for dramatic effects; we assure you our robot operates at a safe speed.*

We’re all kids at heart, but honestly this one is for your kids. Our Backyard is back open for the season at our Portland Flagship Tasting Room and got some new and improved fun. Grab a drink—and a popsicle for the kids—and hang while your kids play in a canoe, color on the chalk wall, make some mud cakes in the kitchen, sail away in the boat sandbox, and watch the fairy's fly into the fairy house's! Trust us this is the spot of the summer!
