Please note that the Rashomon effect has to have two OPPOSING opinions on events that are equally plausible. In this case, we can see Serizawa believes Suzuki has no clue who he is until they're in the same class, while we understand Suzuki found him part of the unattainable elite. Similarly, the moment of his confession of liking BL was a moment for him of flirting, whhile with Suzuki it was a platonic brotherhood. Together, this makes it differing opinions of the same event, both totally plausible in reaction, which leads to the effect. Honestly, one of my FAVORITE things in a JBL and god so refreshing for the depth of the character.
