After my last video, a lot of people were asking for a tutorial, so here is how I make an orange peel person 🍊 I learned this trick from a friend in college, but since then I’ve also seen a video from 1998 of Louise Bourgeois demonstrating this process while telling a story about her father. That is to say, I didn’t invent this idea- I’m simply passing along the knowledge of this silly ritual in case you ever need a fun party trick. Enjoy! #orangepeel #mandarin #oranges #peel #howtopeel

I recently made some "Portable Oracle" kits- a compact divination kit designed to fit in the palm of your hand. Nestled inside an engraved tin, you’ll find a miniature “wee-gee” board made from curly-maple wood, accompanied by two planchettes, and a nostalgic paper fortune teller (just like the cootie-catchers from childhood and imbued with divinatory intention). This video also features my Tiny Tarot sets of durable, waterproof cards of the Major Arcana that measure half an inch tall. All of these limited edition items are designed, fabricated, folded, constructed, and made by me, and are available at artandsuchevan.com/store #oracle #divination #tarot #portableoracle #tinytarot

Horse Watching 🐎 I made this animation years ago, and I cannot remember why I thought this was a good idea at all 😂 #animation #artandsuch #horse

Missing this little lady today. We started befriending each other at the beginning of the pandemic; we got to be close buds and I decided to call her Horatia. We would hang in the backyard almost every day, and she became friends with the neighbors as well. Unfortunately, one day in 2023 the neighbor found her dead in the road from being hit by a car, so he buried her and made a nice little headstone. This squirrel was well-loved and I miss her oodles

Everyone is struggling. Would you help a stranger by doing nothing?

Turning a cheap toy skateboard from a dollar store into a work of art. To create this miniature skateboard, I sketched out my drawing using a Copic Multiler SP003 pen followed by some accents painted in white acrylic paint. I covered everything in a layer of UV resistant sprayable topcoat before framing the whole thing up for a skateboard art show. This dragon illustration was drawn by hand without any magnifying instruments
