Overall I would give this experience a 9.5/10. Being here is definitely an experience, you will instantly feel like you’re a rich auntie living it up on vacation. The ambience was very classy, dim, with an ocean side view. We opted to be seated outside for the full experience and during my trip to Mexico, it definitely was a highlight that made me think “Wow I’m really in Cancun.” The food was delicious, very filling and paired with the hookah it became a perfect experience overall for me. Due to the fact that we came for a birthday celebration, they also provided us with a chocolate cake with strawberry and cream filling, and a blue raspberry cotton candy mountain. Even the bathroom was aesthetic with a makeshift aquarium, and marbling everywhere. Overall I would say my experience at Dahla NY was pretty average. Not the worst for a birthday setting, food was very aesthetic, staff was friendly bringing positive energy and private dining definitely added to the intimacy of the space. I was slightly disappointed I didn’t get to try a few of the menu items I was looking forward to like the larb beef sliders, potato terrine, or the Dahla martini. But I can say we were the last customers of the night so If you were interested in some of those items you definitely have to come earlier because they get sold out. Some highlights were definitely the pork skewers that’s a definite must if you’re a pork lover, and for drinks I would recommend the Manila cocktail and the white plumeria if you’re a fan of drinks that favor a ginger beer. A common thought that all of us had was that everything had a spicy undertone. So be prepared to handle some chile peppers if you go there. Overall I would give my experience at sei less a solid 8.5 out of 10. There were hardly any misses for me personally. Aesthetic wise, the ambience gave casual but definitely a spot for a group of friends to go after payday. The food was filling, even filling up on appetizers before the food came. Portion was a personal favorite of mine, as we were able to have copious amounts of food to bring home to loved ones that want to give it a try. It was a bit pricey for my blood but definitely a great find for restaurant week or for a birthday or anniversary. Metropolis by Marcus Samuelsson Overall I would give my experience of Metropolis by Marcus Samuelsson a solid 8/10. Aesthetically the restaurant was beautiful and had great lighting, you can tell the owner put a lot of thought of how he wanted the place to look. The food matched the aesthetic as well but I do wish the portions were slightly bigger for the amount of money they’re charging per menu item. It seems like the perfect romantic date spot for those that are looking for a boujee experience.
