Actors feel your feet on the ground, be present, let things move through and around you - observe them passing - instead of grabbing and clinging to the need for an emotion at all times. #acting #actingtips #actingskills #actingcoach #selftape

So many things need to happen at once for good acting. You gotta include yourself (feel it), connect to the partner (deliver it) and connect to the context (play the objective) - all while being present in the moment. This is why I love to practice by layering, first we taste it, then we send it, then we play it. Layering allows you to do each thing fully once and build the “chord” note by note. Save and try this! #acting #actingtips #actingcoach #selftape #actingtok

Actors you have to include the self in the expression. Receive what you send and send what you receive. It’s a duality of expression. The reverb of what you release is the x-factor all great lead actors have. - - - #actingtips #actingskills #actingcoach #actingclass #selftape

You have to be a part of what you’re expressing as an actor, it must move and reverb through you as well as the character. Taste, feel, touch, sense in every way - the things you see. Only then are you truly present! - - - #actingtips #actingcoach #actingclass #selftapeaudition #actingtok

Actors must embrace vulnerability and that means leaning past the fear of being wrong or looking stupid! When people say take risks what they really mean is dare to be wrong. All great art lives just over the borderline of the fear of being wrong. This is advice for actors looking to enhance their acting on stage and screen. #selftape #acting #actingtips #actingcoach #actingskills

Actors can use the psychological gesture and its sweet spot (a sensation you feed internally) to make actions active, grounded and create a stream of impulses that guide and feed you! This is a how to instructional video for acting techniques and skills applicable to stage and screen performance including self tapes. #acting #actingtips #actingskills #actingcoach #actingclass

Actors! Feel your feet on the ground. Use your diaphragm to breathe through your nose. Observe the sensations. Let impulses pass without being picked up. Become poise. Carry this into the world of the set. - - - #actingskills #setlife #acting #actingtips #actingchallenge

The biggest trap young actors face that ruins their talent, is playing tones and emotions instead of actions and tactics. The Psychological Gesture is a tool to help embodying actions. Embodying actions makes them visceral, active and alive. The benefit of actions is they are doable, connecting to the doing unlocks dynamic tonality, nuance and active pursuit. Grounding actions in the “PG” can enhance this even further! The PG is an inner motion, not something that is externalized on stage. Using this tool can help actors improve their acting and become better performers on stage and screen. This is a how to video for actors looking to improve their acting abilities, self tapes and auditions - or book more roles. - - - - - #acting #actingcoach #actingtips #actortok #selftape

Notice how little phrases like “waiting for the other shoe to drop” imply a visceral, visual and physical world for you to embody; actors. These physical plug ins are worth their weight in gold and can unlock inspiration quickly and creatively! Actors when acting can use these physical plugins to avoid floundering on stage, screen and tv. - - - - - #actingskills #actingtips #actingcoach #actingclass #selftape

Acting should mimic life, not art. Observe other humans, observe people, take what they do and make it your own! #acting #actingtips #actingcoach #actingskills #actingclass

In our recent acting film scene rehearsal workshop @King Joe did some absolutely amazing work. We ran his scene about 6 times, layering different elements of the performance and took him from a great performance to a can’t miss powerhouse. Great work Joe, thank you for being so open. Here we are exploring space and how it connects to atmosphere and stakes. #actingclass #actingcoach #selftape #actingtok #actingskills

What truly differentiates the actors who have the it factor and can carry a film? So much of it is just about nuance and breadth of expression. #acting #actingtok #actingskills #actingtips #actingclass

Physically embodying emotions opens up pathways in the actor that allow things to move through you on stage and screen. Actors can use these techniques as part of a daily process or tied to rehearsing for a specific self tape, audition or role to enhance emotional availability. - - - #acting #actingtips #actingcoach #actingtok #actorsoftiktok

Actors! Discernment is your super power. Learn to take in factors and patterns to define truth for yourself. Do not give your power away assuming others know more. Know for yourself via free play and free meditative reasoning, actors! - - - - - #actingtips #actingcoach #actingskills #acting #actorlife

Practicing playing actions (with an imagined partner) allows your acting to become more and more active and specific. Actions unlock dynamism and levels by freeing your instincts and inner nature via the power of intention. For me, I like to play actions that have very specific desired goals and outcomes, that are more physical and visual than anything else. I don’t love using actions as a vocabulary exercise for verbs, instead I prefer to keep them related to the doing and simpler words that stir imagination more than intellect. #acting #actingtips #actingcoach #actingskills #selftape

Actors don’t leak energy or give any one around you a reason to doubt what you’re doing. Draw power in and deliver with confidence. If you’re doing something wrong, they’ll tell you! #actingtips #actingcoach #actor #actorslife #selftape

Shock and awe can be one of the most elusive things for actors to portray 50 times in a row on set or stage, internalizing this literal physical state of it can make the portrayal available even when inspiration isn’t there. #actingtips #actingcoach #selftape #audition #acting

Actors when you get the job, the real work starts. On set? Connect. Take chances. Push past the fear of ruffling feathers or messing up; and do what you know is best unless asked to stop. Make great acting a habit. - - - - - #actingskills #actingtips #actingclass #actingadvice #actingcoaching

Movements and actions for actors and humans are always preceded by impulses and sustained by intention until they are cut off by a new series of preceding, acting and sustaining. Practicing moving in this way gives you grace, builds audience trust and grounds your body and talent in your acting. #actingtips #actingcoach #actingclass #actingskills #acting

This archetypal movement is an acting tool for a broadstroke entry to thinking based characters. Practicing these movements of thinking, feeling and doing can develop your skills and sensitivity for all of your acting roles. #actingskills #actingtips #actingcoach #selftape #audition

Actors practicing moving this way can connect you to the world of feeling based characters. Make sure to tie all of your faculties into the movement, don’t watch it from the outside, sense it from the inside - and let it reverb from head to toe! This can elevate your acting for self tapes, auditions, filming and theatre. Even improv. #acting #actingtips #actingskills #selftape #actingcoach

#duet with @rowan20001 watch his original video to here his dialogue and see the translation. This is some very solid acting but we need to activate the inner life, objective and relationship / stakes just a little more. I’d love to see him engage a really strong psychological gesture to connect to all these things. #acting #selftape #actingteacher #actingcoach
