Reinhard van Astrea is a young knight from the Astrea family, one of the most legendary warrior families in the Kingdom of Lugunica. He’s currently the Sword Saint, the highest-ranking swordsman in the world of Re:Zero. He’s also the personal knight of Felt, one of the candidates competing for Lugunica’s throne. Why is Reinhard so ridiculously powerful? The biggest reason is something called Divine Protections. In Re:Zero, a Divine Protection is essentially a supernatural blessing that gives someone a particular ability. For example: * Protection against projectiles * Protection against certain types of magic * Enhanced senses * Ability to detect things * Enhanced physical abilities * Protection against particular environmental conditions * And many other extremely specific abilities Most people who have Divine Protections have one. Reinhard has a ridiculous number of them. And that’s where things get crazy. Reinhard can basically ask the world for the blessing he needs. Reinhard has an extremely unusual relationship with Od Laguna, essentially the world’s underlying system/will that governs these blessings. If Reinhard needs a particular Divine Protection, he can request one, and the world can provide it if an appropriate protection exists—or even create one in some circumstances. #jjk #rezero #gojo #subaru #animefyp @²ˡᵃᵐᵉᵗᵒᵇᵉ 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐒♱
