Each build is so different and unique that sometimes you just got to figure it out. This Travelette is another one-of-a-kind build with some crazy modifications. A lot of parts and a lot of work still needs to be done but it’s coming together.

Built and mounted the front bumper and winch on the Travelette build. ✅ I wanted to preserve as much of the original front bumper as possible. I’m pretty happy with how it came out out.

I often get asked, “What in the world is that thing?!” At a glance the #WillysX3 looks like a Jeep but close your eyes and it sounds like a SXS. 😂 After my daughter rolled my 2018 CanAm Maverick X3 and broke all the plastics I pulled my busted Maveryinto the garage and the transformation began. I took a rusted out 1951 Willys Wagon and grafted it onto my CanAm Maverick X3 chassis. A few upgrades later and the WillysX3 was born. Some things just belong together. 🤘 After who knows how many decades, the original Diamond T hood badges are back where they belong. Happy National UTV Day! 🇺🇸 Although calling the WillysX3 a UTV might be stretching the definition a little. 😂 It started life as a 2018 Can-Am Maverick X3. Then somebody had the crazy idea of grafting a 1951 Willys Wagon onto it. Since then, this ridiculous rig has tackled dunes, rocks, desert trails, off-road events, snow and more than a few situations where common sense probably would’ve suggested turning around. It even somehow managed to bring home Best UTV. 🏆 Not quite a Jeep. Not quite a SXS. Definitely not normal. And that’s exactly how we like it. Almost. Riding up top is the ’51 WillysX3 — born as a Can-Am Maverick X3 before we decided it needed a little more class and grafted on a 1951 Willys Wagon body. Two completely different machines. The old Diamond T didn’t leave the factory yesterday… it left a mark on history. After decades of sinking into a Montana farm field, this ‘41 Diamond T finally saw daylight again. We wrestled it out of the earth, somehow got it on a rented U-Haul trailer, and pointed the truck nearly 1,500 miles toward the Bootleg garage. Every dent tells a story.
