Bristol Balloon Fiesta (@bristolballoon)

August. Still filling our feeds and our hearts 🎈❤️

She’s officially a WORLD RECORD HOLDER! The incredible Jo Bailey aka @Josecco - The Paloma Diaries has had her world record attempt verified by @Guinness World Records holder for most ascents in a tethered hopper balloon within one hour. On the Friday of the Fiesta she recorded an amazing 68 ascents within the one hour time limit, securing her place in the record books. Her feat was about so much more than challenge; it was a way to show others you can keep pushing yourself to new limits in the face of adversity after Jo survived three life-saving surgeries last year and now lives with a stoma. Her challenge also saw her fundraise for the two charities that supported her last year @Crohn’s & Colitis UK and Southmead ICU, via Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity. Her Just giving page is still open for donations. https://www.justgiving.com/team/thepalomadiaries?utm_medium=TE&utm_source=CL #crohnswarrior #stoma

It’s not every day you inflate a balloon inside @Bristol Beacon and invite orchestral musicians to tune their instruments inside it… …but that’s exactly what we did, because today the news is out: BBC Proms Bristol is returning for its third year at Bristol Beacon, the programme is live and this time it will coincide with the Fiesta, from 7–9 August.

With one view, everything slows down, and spring finally arrives. It is the summer scene Bristol has been waiting for.

This morning Bristol’s balloon tethered to help us announce our programme for the 2026 Fiesta! And we revealed the brand new @Albert Goodman balloon! The countdown is on! 🎈🪅 #bristolballoons #hotairballoons #bristolballoonfiesta #bristol
