i think one of the most common mistake to make when you’re starting out in design is thinking the logo IS the brand🫣 and don’t get me wrong, i LOVE designing logos!! but a logo on its own isn’t what makes a brand recognisable 👏 it’s the combination of the colour palette, typography, imagery, graphic elements, packaging and all those little visual details that create a consistent look and feeling that people can remember👩‍💻 i wanted to show some of my favourite PINK (🤭💕) client and passion projects so you can see how differently the logos work once they’re placed into the wider brand identity👀 the logo is the starting point. the brand identity is that and everything you build around it😌 this is probs why i love branding so much as it’s not just about making one nice logo, it’s about creating a whole visual world that feels unmistakably like the brand😇 #brandidentity #logodesign #branddesign #graphicdesign #branddesigner

I’ve been having way too much fun with Adobe Illustrator’s updated Blend Panel 🤭🍒 When I started designing this drinks brand I knew I wanted the visual identity to be built around colourful, gradient fruit illustrations. I wanted something playful that could work across the whole brand - from the packaging to posters and social media graphics! 👀 The updated Blend Panel in Illustrator made experimenting with that idea soooo much easier 🤩 I could play around with colour, spacing and easing all in one panel to create different gradient effects and quickly see what worked! And obviously… I got a little carried away 🫣 What started with a few fruit illustrations turned into a whole visual system that I could use across the brand. One of the biggest things I’ve learned from freelancing is that the small things you put off… always come back later 🫣 And it usually just ends up taking way more time than it needs to 👎 Staying on top of your finances as you go makes everything feel so much smoother! I’m so excited to show off Adobe Illustrator’s new Concept to Vector feature 🌶️ When Adobe first told me about it, I instantly knew it would be a game changer for my process as most of my design projects start as messy little sketches in my notebook! ✍️ So being able to take those rough ideas straight into Illustrator and quickly turn them into editable graphics made the whole process feel so much smoother 😍 I used the feature while designing this conceptual hot sauce brand called HAWT MESS and it sped up my workflow so much! A lot of my design process starts before I’ve even opened Illustrator…🫣 Half the time I’m just collecting imagery, saving colours I like, importing rough sketches and throwing everything into Firefly Boards until the idea in my head finally starts looking more clearer! 😅 Then once I’ve got a direction, I’ll head into Illustrator and start properly designing.
