To represent such a special place and such a big part of my home county, is a feeling I can’t quite describe. The Lake District has given me so much, and I can’t wait to be able to give it something back. Social media does bring its challenges to the park, but I feel that my passion for using it for the right reasons, to educate & influence the new generation on how to visit and enjoy the beauty of the park responsibly, is going to help change the narrative that all social media does is cause problems. The final day hiking in Middle Earth! 🇳🇴🥾 Day 9 on the Lofoten crossing was the perfect ending to the trek. After a good sleep in the campsite, all that was between us and the finish line was one more mountain. The prefect long distance trail!🇳🇴🥾(Or is it ? 🤔) Days 7/8 on the Lofoten crossing were a brutal reminder that the weather has more control on the route you take than yourself. Faced with some brutal conditions and even more brutal road walking, we decided to skip a day out as there was a pipe section we were warned to steer clear from! We got a bus to Svolvær and the next day headed back on trial into the mountains, the cloud came in once again and our feet were soaked! So you can just imagine how delighted we were when we arrived at a beautiful campsite with a sauna! Would you hike this trail ? 🇳🇴⛰️ Day 6 on the Lofoten Crossing was a rollercoaster. Starting peacefully but having to backtrack and take cover from a heavy rain storm. Whilst feeling low, our moods quickly changed when we got a visit from some eagles over head 🦅 (bonus points to anyone who can let us know what breed) We were then faced with a gruelling incline up to one of the highest points on the whole trial. But the sweeping Norwegian landscapes we got to see from the top made it worth every step. Is this the real Middle Earth? 🇳🇴🗡️ Day 5 on the Lofoten Crossing was maybe my favourite yet. After waking up in Ramberg, we jumped on the bus straight to Leknes, which is one of the biggest towns on the entire trail. Youll soon leave the city behind and end up hiking into what feels like real life Hobbiton, with rolling fields and even a real Hobbit Hole! Why can’t you have a fire when camping ? 🔥❌ Despite the recent rain, this summer in the UK, and the entire globe, has been extremely hot & dry, and we saw more broken records for temperatures and drought than ever before. My most asked question as a creator is why is there no fires aloud in the National park. It’s not to spoil anyone’s visit, but instead to control the risk of wildfires and damage to the beautiful landscapes you’re so desperate to come and visit. More than 1,000 wild fires have been reported across England and Wales so far in 2026, so the national park and I thought it would be great to team up with @Sam Bentley | Ecology, an ecologist, to help educate people on the dangers one little campfire can actually have. European Forest Fire Information System reported: As of 10 August, more than 23,000 hectares had burned across the UK in 2026, with 72 individual fires exceeding 30 hectares   So much of our beautiful landscapes are having serious effects from the heat, the last thing you should be doing is amplifying that risk by having a fire or BBQ when you visit not only the @Lake District but any countryside in general. Remember, if you plan to visit the park, always leave no trace & follow the countryside code. Apparently you can hike through real life middle earth ? 🇳🇴🥾 Day 4 on the Lofoten crossing is definitely a highlight day of the whole trail. In the morning, you’ll come across Kalvika Beach. A stunning view point that’s well known on the Lofoten Islands. You’ll then take in the Incredible views from here and even the optional summit if you fancy it, before heading down into civilisation for a pizza 🍕 From here you can either Hitchhike or walk along the road to Ramberg, where you can find an affordable and stunning campsite for night 4. Would you hike under the Midnight sun ?☀️🇳🇴 Day 3 on the Lofoten Long Crossing couldn’t have started better. A beautiful ferry ride through the fjords was today’s first highlight as we needed to get back on trail after yesterday’s detour. With beautiful mountain view’s all day, we made our way up steep mountain passes and waded through a lot of bog. The conditions on the trail haven’t been the best as of yet, very boggy and muddy cause of the heavy rainfall they have had this season. But to our surprise, as soon as we pitched up the tents, the weather subsided and we were blessed with a beautiful view. It was the first time on the hike I have managed to use my new @Hilleberg the Tentmaker Anaris, what an epic setting for an epic bit of kit 👌🏼⛺️ What a way to end a brutal day on the trail. Capture more with the @DJI Official Osmo Pocket 4P 🎥🔥 I just got back from a recent trip to Norway shooting with the New DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. When capturing the sweeping fjord landscapes to distant details across the water, the image quality from both lenses was seriously impressive, especially the 3x optical zoom, which made it easy to bring faraway scenes closer without losing clarity. With up to 17 stops of dynamic range, both vertical and horizontal shooting and 4K recording at up to 240fps, I was constantly amazed by what this compact camera could produce. Small enough to take anywhere, but powerful enough to capture some of the most incredible scenery I’ve ever filmed.
