I don’t normally share Kayden in moments like this because I’m very protective of him, but I wanted to share this to bring a little awareness. ❤️ I took his phone for a cyber break, and he became very aggravated. He started stimming more, making faces, biting his lip, and grabbed my arm. This isn’t something we normally see from him, and as his mom, I’m still learning how to navigate moments like these. Sometimes things that may seem small to us can be really overwhelming for our kids. Every autistic child is different, and I’m not saying autism is the reason for every reaction, but I do think it’s important to talk about the struggles that people don’t always get to see. This doesn’t define Kayden, and I don’t want anyone to look at him differently because of one moment. He’s a wonderful kid, and just like everybody else, he has difficult moments, too. I’m sharing this for awareness, not judgment. We’re learning as we go, and I know there are other parents out there who can relate. ❤️ Please be kind. There’s a real child behind the video. 💙

One of our supporters who wanted to remain anonymous blessed our family with dinner and made me promise that the money was ONLY for food. ❤️ Not the house, not bills, not anything else. Watching this was hard… but necessary. 💙 Kayden dumped baby powder all over the living room floor. Instead of cleaning it up for him, Mya and Kendall slowed down and taught him how to sweep and mop it himself. He got really frustrated, and my mama heart kicked in. I finally said, “Okay y’all, that’s enough. I’ll do it.” Kendall looked at me and said, “No… he has to learn.” That hit me. As parents, it’s so tempting to step in and make things easier. But sometimes the greatest act of love is letting them work through the frustration. Every small lesson builds confidence, independence, and life skills. It wasn’t about the baby powder.
