• art creds: _3aem • Satoru is the first Six Eyes and limitless user in the Gojo clan after 400 years. As soon as Satoru was born, the balance of power in the world shifted instantly. Which immediately caused a bounty to be put on his head. He spent his entire childhood having to get stronger and defend not only himself, but others as well. In chapter 11, he says “I haven’t forgiven them for taking a young person’s youth away. Not even one of them.” Satoru was forced to grow up and never got the chance to be a child. That’s why he now spends his days as a teacher making sure his students still get a chance to be young. Something he never had. Satoru is a man of facades. Minutes after killing his one and only best friend, you can see him smiling and laughing to his students. Even after finding out Nanami was dead, he showed no reaction. Many say Satoru doesn’t care, but in fact he cares too much. He’ll constantly put others first even if that means pushing his own feelings down and putting on a smile. Being forced to always be “strong”, he doesn’t allow himself to show grief around others. He instead puts on a smile and doesn’t let anyone know or worry about what he’s actually feeling. Since Satoru is only ever seen as “The Strongest”, he puts on a bubbly personality to seem more approachable. Most of the fandom mischaracterizes him as stupid and irresponsible, but in reality, he puts on this personality to seem less intimidating. Taking in consideration of the fact he’s 6’5, that can also be quite scary to people/students. So he keeps this goofy personality to help others feel less threatened by him. When Satoru was born, he had huge expectations shoved onto him. So as he grew up, he acts silly as a way to rebel against those expectations they put on him since he was a child. #anime #manga #jjkedit #jujutsukaisen #jjk #jujutsukaisenedit #gojo #gojousatoru

His entire life he was known as “The Strongest”. Being the strongest became a burden on Satoru as he now takes all the responsibility of people’s lives around him. You can find moments in the manga where Satoru blames himself for disasters quite often. In chapter 223 when Satoru finds out his own teacher was killed, he says, “The reason the higher-ups ordered you to kill Yaga was because I was too weak and got myself sealed. So who am I to be mad at anyone?” After all, how can he blame others when he’s the strongest? “Are you the strongest because you’re Satoru Gojo? Or are you Satoru Gojo because you’re the strongest?” Satoru’s identity crises is often misunderstood as a god complex. Only ever being seen as the strongest, who is he truly? Is that all he really is? Who would he be if he didn’t have this power? Who is he with this power? Under all the facades and jokes, who is he when he’s finally alone? Not even Satoru himself knows the answer. Many say Satoru doesn’t care, but in fact he cares too much. He’ll constantly put others first even if that means pushing his own feelings down and putting on a smile. Being forced to always be “strong”, he doesn’t allow himself to show grief around others. No one wants to see the strongest show fear or sadness Satoru Gojo. The strongest, but not Invincible. #anime #jjk #gojo #gojoedit #jujutsukaisen
