Some cues deserve a closer look. 👀 The Cuetec SVB Gen II brings a ten-point design, abalone accents, a pebbled full-grain leather wrap, and a Cynergy carbon fiber shaft. That wrap brings up a question: leather or linen—which are you choosing for your playing cue? 👇 Follow @cue.pros for more pool cues, billiards gear, and pool tips. #CuePros #Cuetec #SVBGenII #PoolCues #Billiards

You can practice for hours, but if your fundamentals aren't right, you're making the game harder than it needs to be. 🎱 Three things every pool player should focus on: 🎯 STANCE – Get comfortable, balanced, and position your vision over the shot line. 🤝 GRIP – Keep your grip relaxed and let the cue move naturally. Tension creates unnecessary problems. 🎱 STROKE – Develop a smooth, straight, repeatable stroke that delivers the cue consistently. These three fundamentals work together. A solid stance supports a consistent stroke, while a relaxed grip helps you deliver the cue without unwanted movement. Whether you're new to billiards or have been playing pool for years, getting back to the basics can make a noticeable difference in your accuracy, consistency, and cue ball control. 👇 Which fundamental have you struggled with the most — STANCE, GRIP, or STROKE? #CuePros #PoolTips #Billiards #PoolTraining #PoolFundamentals

Two balls. Eight rails. Two opposite corner pockets. ONE SHOT. 🎱🔥 Think you can pull this one off? Here's the challenge: 🎯 The pink 4-ball banks FIVE rails into the corner pocket. 🎯 At the same time, the cue ball travels THREE rails into the opposite corner. Both balls. Both pockets. One perfectly executed trick shot. Getting one ball to follow the right path is challenging enough. Getting BOTH to find their pockets takes some serious precision, speed control, and an understanding of how balls react off the cushions. 👇 Be honest... how many attempts would it take you to make this shot? Tag someone who needs to try it! #CuePros #PoolTrickShots #Billiards #PoolChallenge #BankShots

Same shot. Same setup. Three completely different results. 🎱 The difference? How you strike the cue ball. In this video, we're breaking down three essential shots every pool player needs to understand: 🎯 STOP SHOT – Make the object ball while stopping the cue ball in its tracks. ⬆️ FOLLOW SHOT – Use topspin to send the cue ball forward after contact. ⬇️ DRAW SHOT – Use backspin to bring the cue ball back toward you. Understanding these three shots is the foundation of cue ball control, better position play, and more consistent results on the pool table. Because making the shot is only half the game. Knowing where your cue ball is going NEXT is what takes your game to another level. 👇 Which one gives you the most trouble: STOP, FOLLOW, or DRAW? #CuePros #PoolTips #CueBallControl #Billiards #PoolTraining

You picked your shots. Now let's see how I played it. 🎱 Here's the full break and run from the layout I posted earlier. 🎱 THE BREAK IS DONE. YOU'RE UP. Here's the layout after the break. Now it's your turn to make the call. What's your first shot? I want to know the BALL, the POCKET, and where you're trying to leave the cue ball. Let's see who's thinking a few shots ahead. 👀 I'll post the full 8-ball break-and-run so we can compare shot selection, cue ball position, and pattern play. 👇 Let's hear your game plan. #CuePros #8BallPool #Billiards #PoolStrategy #BreakAndRun

🎱 BANK SHOTS: FEEL OR FORMULA? Do you really need to memorize the diamond system to become a better banker? There's a simpler way to start understanding bank shots. It comes down to three things: 🎯 Understanding your banking angles 🎯 Keeping your shot speed consistent 🎯 Knowing how to use spin to adjust the bank In this video, we're breaking down a practical bank shot technique that makes it easier to predict where the object ball will go. Instead of constantly guessing at speed, we'll show you how using a consistent medium stroke and adjusting with English can help you develop more reliable banks. Of course, table conditions, speed, and spin all play a role. But understanding these fundamentals can make a huge difference. 👇 Here's the question: When you're lining up a bank shot, what do you trust most? A. Feel and experience B. The diamond system C. Spin and speed control Let's hear it. 👇 #CuePros #Billiards #PoolTips #BankShots #PoolPlayers

Same angle. Different speed. Completely different result. 🎱 One of the most overlooked parts of making consistent bank shots in pool is understanding how speed affects the angle of the ball coming off the cushion. You can aim a bank shot perfectly, but the speed you hit it can completely change the result. Learning how ball speed affects cushion reaction is one of the keys to improving your banking accuracy and consistency. When you miss a bank shot, do you usually adjust your aim or your speed? 👀 #CuePros #BankShots #PoolTips #Billiards #PoolPlayers

If you can't predict where the cue ball is going, you're guessing at position. 🎱 The stun shot is arguably one of the most important shots you can master in pool. When the cue ball is sliding at the moment of contact, you can predict its initial direction after striking the object ball. On an angled shot, it naturally travels along the tangent line, roughly 90° from the object ball's path. On a straight-in shot, that same principle gives you the classic stop shot. Understanding this changes everything about how you approach cue ball control, position play, shot selection, and pattern planning. It's one of those billiards fundamentals that can take your game to another level. 💬 What do you think? Is the stun shot the most important shot to master, or would you give that title to something else? #PoolTips #Billiards #StunShot #CueBallControl #PoolLessons

How should you actually hold a pool cue? Your back hand should hold the cue comfortably and naturally. Keep your grip relaxed, let your wrist hang naturally, and avoid squeezing harder than you need to. The goal is simple: give the cue enough freedom to move straight and smoothly through your stroke. It may seem like a small detail, but getting your grip right gives you a much better foundation to build everything else on. How do you hold your cue — loose, firm, or somewhere in between? #CuePros #PoolTips #Billiards #PoolLessons #LearnPool

Can you run an entire rack without side spin? I played this one using center ball only—no left or right English. That makes every pattern choice and every bit of cue-ball position matter. Pool is such a creative game, if you look hard enough you always find somwthing new. 🎱 This one looks way harder than it actually is. Once you know what line to hit, the shot becomes surprisingly repeatable. It’s a good reminder that some of the craziest-looking shots in pool aren’t about insane skill — they’re about understanding the setup. The cue ball moves. Your aiming reference stays the same. 🎱 That’s the idea behind the spot-on-the-wall system for three-rail kick shots. I break down how to find the starting line, extend it to a reference across the room, and use that same target from different cue ball positions to return toward the corner pocket. Watch the setup, then watch the proof. Save this for your next pool practice session. Do you use a kicking system, or trust your feel? #Cuepros #PoolTips #Billiards #KickShots #CueBallControl

Your stroke usually doesn’t fall apart under pressure. Your routine does. The foot placement changes. The grip gets tighter. The warm-up strokes get rushed. You get down before you’re fully committed. Then when the shot misses, it feels like your stroke suddenly disappeared. It didn’t. The mistake usually started before the cue ever moved forward. If you want more consistency under pressure, build a pre-shot routine you can trust — then protect it when the shot matters most. What changes first for you under pressure: your pace, your grip, or your decision-making? #Cuepros #PoolTips #Billiards #PoolTraining #PoolPsychology

If your cue keeps drifting off line, you need a way to actually see it happening. This simple drill gives you instant feedback. Were building muscle memory. Hang a metal key ring in your stroke line, then practice delivering the cue cleanly through the center without touching it. If the cue moves sideways, you’ll know immediately. Do 5-minute sets and focus on a smooth stroke, straight delivery, and clean follow-through. Simple setup. No fancy training aid. Just honest feedback. Would you try this drill? #Cuepros #Billiards #PoolTraining #PoolTips #PoolPractice

Not every break and run goes according to plan. This one definitely didn’t. I had to change patterns, adjust position, and make a few decisions on the fly. That’s a huge part of getting better at pool — not just learning the “right” pattern, but learning how to adapt when the table gives you something different. You’re not always going to land perfect. The real skill is staying calm, reassessing the table, and finding the next best option without letting one bad position ruin the rack. That’s what this run turned into. How good are you at changing plans mid-rack when position gets away from you? This might be my favorite angle I’ve ever filmed. Cue-mounted GoPro POV for a full break and run — you can actually see the table develop from the shooter’s perspective instead of watching from the rail. The break, cue ball control, position play, shot selection, and patterns all look completely different from this angle. How to control the cue ball in 60 seconds. 🎱 If you can predict where the cue ball travels after hitting the object ball, pool gets a whole lot easier. Learn the tangent line, improve your position play, tighten up your speed control, and start playing billiards with a plan instead of guessing. Would this have helped you when you first started playing? #Cuepros #Billiards #PoolTips #PoolPlayer #CueBall

Cue ball control gets a lot easier when you stop guessing. A huge part of playing better pool is understanding what happens to the cue ball after it contacts the object ball. This quick billiards lesson breaks down the tangent line, natural cue ball path, and how it connects to better position play and speed control. It only takes 60 seconds to learn, but it’s something you can use on almost every pool table you play on. Save this one and test it during your next practice session. #Cuepros #Billiards #PoolTips #CueBall #PositionPlay

Most players already know they should stay down. They just never trained their body to do it. For the next 7 days, try this: Keep your bridge hand planted until the object ball drops or clearly misses. Don’t peek. Don’t help it. Don’t chase the result.
