Hi, I'm starting a 7 day sequel series for complete beginners. So if you're just starting into data, this will make things super simple for you. So today I'll cover what sequel is and how it helps. So sequel stands for Structured Query Language. This is a language that helps you to talk to databases. So think of it like this. When you want some specific information, you just ask for it using sequel. So for example, if you have a list of students and their marks, and you just ask sequel to show me all the students who scored above 90, and sequel will give the results in seconds. So knowing sequel basically means you can find, understand and use that data in a meaningful way. Let's say you have a company which has tons of information, just like about customers, sales, website visits. With sequel, you can pull out that data and transform it however you want to. You can look for patterns and you can make sense of what's really happening in the company. So follow along. We are keeping it simple, one concept at a time.
