This blue was once more valuable than gold. Drawn from the mineral lapis lazuli, it has never been just a beautiful stone. In ancient Egypt, Cleopatra ground it into eyeshadow. Centuries later, Renaissance artists crushed it into ultramarine, a color so rare and costly it was reserved for the…

Did you know that red roses possess one of the highest vibrational frequencies of any plant on the planet measuring approximately 320 MHz? This frequency is associated with love, healing, and spiritual connection. The average human frequency is only 60-70MHz so being around roses, smelling them…

This lime green tho! I’m not usually a green girlie but I am obsessed It reminds me of why I fell in love with inks in the first place. The way it pops and shifts colors slowly stain blue and highlighting yellow puts me into a trance. I swear it’s like therapy. I started affiliating for…

The next alcohol ink workshop is just a little more than a week awayyyy!!! So let’s get into the details. Tuesday, October 17th at 7pm at The Collective and will run for 2 hrs. We’ll be learning allllll about alcohol inks as a medium, this is NOT paint by numbers so you’ll choose your own color…

3 years since I made my first paper bag vase is wiiiiild. Going viral for this was such an experience and came with so many lessons. Just remember folks, you can’t please everybody #onthisday #paperbag #resinart #flowervase

Pro tip. If you want black alcohol ink roses don’t use black ink. You KNOW they get sticky. I used the Copic Marker various ink refills. They have gray scale 0-10 and trust me, the results are better. #alcoholink #blackroses #flowerpainting #fluidart #njartist

Your framing does not have to be boring. It can even be an extension of the art. I’m a sucker for a coordinated frame w pop of color or in this case, a custom painted mat to match. I’m OBSESSED with how inking this boring white matting takes my airy blue alcohol ink roses to an even dreamier…

Who remembers my ✨glitter✨ era? I was most definitely having a girlie pop moment and released a collection of ready to hang glitter and resin pieces. Selfishly, I’ve been hoarding this one for myself. It’s true. I love her fragmented sunset over the water vibes. She’s been hanging in all her…

Ok, but did @Legion Paper read my mind when they released these aluminum backed artist panels because I hateee the whole mounting process. It’s tedious. It’s stressful. And it’s COMPLETELY within the realm of possibility that I ruined my art while trying to finish it. But I also realllly do love…

The wealth inequality in this country is greater than it was in France during the Revolution. Those are facts. Just sayin. I posted this stained glass guillotine pre-soldering last week and I got a few requests to make the pattern available so that you can make your own eat the rich devices. I…

Did you know that the wealth inequality in the US is greater than the one that sparked the French Revolution? Just sayin. OBSESSED with my stained glass guillotine. One could say the pattern was divinely inspired. The mirror for the blade and head hole gives an interactive element the piece that…

No one can say it isn’t going to be a statement piece. 💀 First time incorporating mirror into stained glass art. The internet had me all nervous but it wasn’t bad. I’m super into it. Especially as a tool of personal reflection literally in the art.

“Let’s make art!” she said. “Show me how to do stained glass!” she said. (Looks at watch) “I have to leave by 2.” she said. Ok. I literally I felt like I was on one of those reality shows where you def don’t have enough time to start and finish something from scratch, but there we were. Me and…

Please follow me on YouTuuube! Did you sign up for Lemon8? It’s powered by TT now so is it disappearing too? Weird to roll that connection out this week. I think we are all in agreement that Fuckerberg can suck it, so rather than asking you to find me on his stupid boring apps, please support me…

As a collective, I have to ask, are we over time-lapsed videos? Lay your honest opinion on me. Personally, I think I’m kinda over them. Maybe it’s just this new medium of stained glass that I’m exploring, but this part of the process feels ESPECIALLY intimate and that vibe is completely lost w the…

I swear I forget to breath while I’m cutting glass. #stainedglass #artasmr #njartist

I can’t decide which side I like better on this smoky rainbow sheet of stained glass, so I’m making a piece w the intention of it being a double sided sun catcher. The pressure is on. I really want the smoky lines to continue seamlessly from one piece to another so there will be no second chances…

I’ve always loved the imagery of the sacred heart. This symbol has worked its way from churches into pop culture representing fortitude, rebirth and limitless love. The heart is the core of who we are. Full of emotions and love, even wounded there is still a brightness and warmth burning. I chose…

You’re probably familiar with the Eye of Ra the an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection and power but did you know it’s also associated violence? Not in a random way but the kind that preserves power and punishes those who threaten to take it from you. Kind of an all knowing wrathful protection…

I’ve been mildly obsessed w ancient Egypt since I was a kid. My school did this thing once a year called minimester where for one week we hyper focused on a single subject. 5th grade was ancient Egypt and was in shock. It was unlike anything I felt before in school. I lost myself in the museums…

The sound currently filling my studio is sooo crunchy. And as my daughter would say, sooo satisfying. But what I’m really into is the bump of adrenaline I get when the glass pops and I see how much I did or didn’t fu€k up. Aaaamazing rush. The learning curve is curving.. as are the pieces im…

I lost my Nancy but she is still an inspiration. Her bright light could have pierced thru the most opaque of glass. I hope I can make her proud. Nancy Bridget Deol 2/9/79-9/24/24 #stainedglassart

Don’t be fooled by the time lapse. Adding the stitch detailing back into this cowboy boot resin flower vase took over 4 hours!! When my client asked if i could work my magic and turn her daughter’s old cowboy boot into one of my epoxy vases, I thought, Fu€k yeah I can. As expected the resin…

Pennies. Pennies are the answer to the question you didn’t know you had. I’ve made more than a few vases at this point and after my first batch I spotted a real problem. My tapered shapes were way too top heavy once flowers were put in and they were falling over. Not good. This is supposed to be…
