Replacing the Power Steering Reservoir on My E39 I replace the power steering reservoir on my E39 to fix a leak. After draining the fluid and unbolting the components, I remove the old reservoir and hose, clean everything up, and install the new reservoir with fresh Dex Merc fluid from Valvoline. I then bleed the system by turning the steering wheel lock-to-lock and top off the fluid to complete the project. It’s my first time doing this.
