Some nations fabricate false legends out of inferiority to boost national pride. South Korea, together with Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar, all claim their warriors defeated Ming generals in one-on-one duels. Over the past decade, South Korea has woven another lie: Japanese samurai overpowered Ming fighters, until a Korean warrior stepped up and won. Japanese troops stayed fully alert against soldiers in Ming armor, yet let their guard down facing those in Korean armor — this plainly reveals their real combat strength. #Japanese#Koreans#SoutheastAsia#Samuraiarmor#Koreanarmor

"In reality, China saved Indian Buddhism from total annihilation by Islamic conquests and Brahmanism. The scriptures that spread across East Asia—to Japan and Korea—are largely based on the unique interpretations of Chinese monks, rather than the original dogmas of India or Nepal The historical truth behind Journey to the West actually flips the script: it wasn't just about fetching scriptures; it was a desperate plea for asylum. As their followers were persecuted and great temples burned in the West, the faith effectively fled East seeking sanctuary in China. Unlike the religious extremists of the time, the Chinese valued philosophical debate over execution, sparing Buddhist monks and giving the religion a new home." #Buddhism#India#JourneytotheWest#Tangdynasty#SunWukong

"After the Tang Dynasty crushed the Turkic Khaganate and neighboring states voluntarily bowed in submission, Li Shimin proudly proclaimed his most famous words: 'Since ancient times, the Chinese have been revered and respected, while the barbarians have been despised. But I regard them all as one.'" "To demonstrate his absolute trust in foreign tribes, the Emperor relocated millions of nomads into the heartland of China and even appointed Turkic royalty as elite palace guards. This era of trust endured until a Turkic prince rallied these very guards under the banner of national restoration to launch an assassination plot—an attempt that was ultimately thwarted by the loyal Han imperial troops." #Turkic #TurkicKhaganate #Tang #Chinesemilitary #huns

Han conquest was cultural erasure and forced submission. Tang conquest was assimilation and willing martyrdom. This bred a fatal arrogance: the delusion that "barbarians" were subjects, effectively killing fierce nationalism with the poison of imperial vanity. For the steppes to rise again, they must bow to the Chinese Emperor and feast on our resources. Modern history exposes their brutal reality: severed from Chinese aid, their alliances crumble into destitution. Today, their descendants can only intoxicate themselves with ancient battles, using delusions of past glory to mask their current impotence. #Mongolians #Turkic #huns #Tang #Chinesemilitary

Once derided as "Jianzhou slaves," the Manchus were originally sheltered by the Ming from Korean aggression and tasked with guarding the frontier against Mongols. They watched in awe as the Ming annihilated Japan’s elite forces and, terrified by China's might, once swore eternal loyalty. Yet, seeing the empire weaken with age and internal rebellion, they betrayed their benefactors to seize the throne, later committing genocide against the unruly Dzungars—a truly tragic twist of history #MingDynasty #Mongolians #QingDynasty #Chinesemilitary #armor

Long before other nations were even born, before the earliest tribes took shape, the ancestors of China already stood tall upon the Eastern earth, claiming the finest lands and expanding greater territories for generations to come Their armor blended strength and grace, with solemn, elegant patterns, majestic aura and exquisite craftsmanship. The Han Chinese and the Xiongnu were brothers. History records why the Han conquered the Xiongnu: They descended from Xia loyalists exiled after political defeat They brought technology to the steppe, merged with nomads, and grew wild Later, Xiongnu chanyus and princes submitted to the Han, acknowledging their kinship. Their sacred city was Dragon City—proof of their shared dragon worship. #xiongnu #huns #Mongolia #Handynasty #Chinese

The Lost Stories: Before Qing Ruled China—A saga of slaves rising against their masters: A hated Buryat-descended tribe fled to Korea, only to be expelled. After seizing the throne via civil war, the Ming Emperor Zhu Di disrupted the northern border military deployment, recruiting these wandering barbarian tribes to settle in Northeast China and guard the Ming frontier. In the late Ming, the force dubbed "Jianzhou Slaves" by the Ming court united all Jurchen clans, defeated the Mongols, Koreans and Han people, and founded the Qing Dynasty. Over 200 years later, they were nearly annihilated in the Han national restoration movements of the 19th and 20th centuries; most descendants hid their identities and changed surnames to integrate, while a handful of the Qing imperial clan used China’s millennium of accumulated wealth to invest in Western enterprises and become wealthy tycoons, or married into Western nobility #history #America#QingDynasty #Mongolia #Korea
