“Texas to Alaska" is a song that came to me while imagining Dolly Parton as a Canadian who cusses and has something to say about the waging U.S.-Canada trade war.

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Lonely Heart (2016) The Lonely Heart and Body 2 Body music videos were both shot by Sammy Rawal. #lonelyheart #dragonette

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Let The Night Fall (2016) Let The Night Fall was the first single off of my 4th studio album Royal Blues. A summer 2015 anthem, which you can really feel from the video. The director of the music video, @ justinbraodbent, later also designed the Twennies album and Twennies merch. #twennies #musicvideos #dragonette #summerthrowback

Writing Camp vibes in the UK

the tyranny of tech sucks hours of creative time right out of my day and my will to make things. Maybe we get those a-holes to focus on making a Time Machine? 🤔 #creativeprocess

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Fire In Your New Shoes by @kaskade (2010) The hardest prep for any music video for me has been for FIYNS and Run Run Run. Having to learn to sing a song phonetically backward and make your mouth look the right shape for the original audio when the video is reversed, is a mind f¥€k I wish upon no one…. But I do love challenge. #videovault #fireinyournewshoes #kaskadedj

Seat Belt ft. my Car

all the burgers in the latest episode of @Good Hang with Amy Poehler had me looking for this one🍔🧐 #goodhangwithamypoehler

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Run Run Run (2012) For the Run Run Run shoot, we just brought the camera everywhere we went for a few weeks. All the settings were just what was happening at the time. I had to learn how to sing all the lyrics backwards. It is without a doubt the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do for a music video. This was the second time I had to do it. The first time was for Kaskade’s Fire On Your New Shoes video. #dragonette #newyorkcity

We all know where this is heading, can we just eliminate the ads now instead of waiting till after the class action law suits?

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Giddy Up (2012) We shot Giddy Up while we were rehearsing for the Bodyparts tour in my parent’s barn. #giddyup

DRAGONETTE I | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Let It Go (2012) I am not a dancer by any stretch. I remember thinking the only way my moves are gonna look any good in the same video as the actual dancers we hired was if I just went nuts. So, that's what I'm doing, I think… #letitgo #dragonette #musicvideos

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT| Easy (2009) Easy is one of the simpler music videos. I was sort of growing out of a shorter haircut at the time and my bowl haircut was a day-of decision. I remember my hair stylist and I getting super stoked about it and just going for it. #dragonette #videovault

I did an acoustic cover of Jóga by Björk. You can watch the full video on my YouTube channel. #jogabjork #acousticcover #bjork

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Boys and Girls (2009) from Martin Solveig’s album C’est la vie My first collaboration with Martin Solveig for his 2009 album C’est la vie. We shot this music video in the Gauthier Mansion in Paris. We did 5 days of choreo training with a dance teacher and I still messed up. There’s a bit where I sigh and give up in despair for getting the move wrong but they thought it was cute and kept it in the final cut. Can you spot it? I can also see myself counting almost out loud oneandtwoandthreeandfour…the whole time. #dragonette #videovault #martinsolveig #musicvideos

I guarantee we’re the only two people doing this to this song😏🤔🤫

DRAGONETTE | VINTAGE VIDEO VAULT | Pick Up The Phone (2009) My dear friend Drew Lightfoot directed this video - along with many others afterward. The little boy whose balloons I pop is Sam, my nephew who also appears years later in the T-shirt video- also by Drew!

DRAGONETTE IN RETROSPECT | Competition (2007) Competition and Sweet Poison were shot in the same studio in Toronto years apart. This video was shot by me and my twin brother’s close friend, Jeff Scheven. The concept and editing is a visual representation of the inside of his mind 24/7… #dragonette #competition #galore2007 #musicvideoarchives

DRAGONETTE IN RETROSPECT | Take It Like A Man (2007) This song appears on Galore, my first album that was signed to a major label in the UK where we lived and made the record there. Take It Like A Man is the only video we shot there. My clearest memory from this shoot was having to stop and reset so manny times bc everyone kept cracking up at all the silly adult film scenarios.

Shambhala Music Festival!! Such a blast to perform Hello with @PINEO & LOEB 👋🎉
