What a GAME between the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs! My goodness! This has been a HELL of an opening week for the NBA! But we gotta talk about this Houston Rockets team. They look TOTALLY different with Fred VanVleet and Marcus Smart on the court. I can’t wait to break down the film tomorrow, but for now, I wanted y’all to hear my first thoughts after this HUGE win against San Antonio! #HoustonRockets #NBA #drenchmansports #amenthompson

I know what a CHAMPIONSHIP team looks like when I see one! I know it’s early and it’s only been two games, but this Oklahoma City Thunder team looks INSANE! A couple of sequences from their game against the Denver Nuggets stood out to me and said A LOT about this team. #OKCThunder #NBA #drenchmansports

I’m gonna keep saying it, and I’m willing to die on this hill! SGA impacts the game just like Steph Curry did in his prime! Obviously, it’s not with three-point volume, but when you watch the film and look at the actions OKC runs, you’ll understand exactly what I’m talking about. This is just ONE example. I can show y’all plenty more! #SGA #NBA #DrenchmanSports #okcthunder

Anthony Davis, PLEASE don’t play with us like this! Because if AD is going to start the season off playing at this level, we’re going to have to start having some serious conversations about him being a TOP 10 PLAYER IN THE NBA again. The Anthony Davis I watched last night against the Milwaukee Bucks is legitimately one of the best basketball players in the world. The question is, can he sustain this level of play? #DrenchmanSports #AnthonyDavis #nba #washingtonwizards

Trae Young might be the BEST pure point guard in the NBA right now. We saw what he was capable of in Game 1 with the Washington Wizards, and this team hasn’t even scratched the surface offensively. Imagine when AJ Dybantsa returns and these guys start developing chemistry, getting comfortable with their sets, and executing their offense consistently. Trae Young might average 13 assists a game this season! #DrenchmanSports #TraeYoung #washingtonwizards #nba

The Washington Wizards looked really good offensively in their season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks. A lot of people questioned Trae Young’s defense, but I liked the strategy Brian Keefe used. Don’t leave Trae on an island defensively. Bring help, crowd the ball handler, and force them to give up the basketball. #DrenchmanSports #WashingtonWizards #nba #traeyoung

Final recap of my breakdown of the Philadelphia 76ers’ opening-night win against the New York Knicks. This team definitely should have everybody excited about what they’re capable of this season. My only question to y’all is, DO YOU BELIEVE IN PHILADELPHIA’S DEFENSE? #76ers #NBA #drenchmansports #lebronjames

The highlights of the 76ers’ offense might have been what everybody was showing, but what I wanted to show was how their DEFENSE looked. A lot of people said LeBron James was washed on the defensive end of the floor. It damn sure didn’t look like it last night. #LeBronJames #76ers #drenchmansports #nba

Now, I know I raved about LeBron James playing the four position for the Philadelphia 76ers, but Nick Nurse threw another wrinkle into the mix by putting him at the FIVE when Philly goes small. And with LeBron at the five, that’s one of the most dynamic lineups in the NBA. #LeBronJames #76ers #drenchmansports #nba

Last night answered a lot of questions I had about why LeBron James joined the Philadelphia 76ers. The fit looked seamless, but what intrigued me the most was seeing him play at the four position. #LeBronJames #Sixers #nba #drenchmansports

The Atlanta Dream put on a MASTERCLASS in Game 2, and Angel Reese was DOMINANT! I felt like Atlanta gave Game 1 away by getting away from what worked, especially getting Angel Reese the ball and letting her be aggressive. But in Game 2, you could see the intention behind getting her involved early, and it made a HUGE difference! #AtlantaDream #AngelReese #wnbafinals #drenchmansports

Just happened to be watching a total domination by Angel Reese, looked up and saw me on the damn TV 🥴😂 my bad for the language #wnba #drenchmansports

The NBA Season Is Underway and it’s time to make your pick.. I got the Knicks 🤷‍♂️ #kalshipartner

I’ve never in my life seen a fan base more DELUSIONAL than the Dallas Cowboys fan base! At this point, I’m starting to believe they’re suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. But I will say this: I’ve also never in my life seen a Cowboys fan say, “I’m sick of this sh*t. I’m done with the Cowboys!” So shout out to them. Y’all LOYAL! But at the end of the day, y’all still got your a** whooped, and y’all TRASH, just like the rest of us! #DallasCowboys #CowboysNation #nfl #drenchmansports

Hearing the news that Ben Simmons tore his Achilles and is out for the season is just HEARTBREAKING. I don’t care how much you’ve criticized him, whether you dislike him as a player or think his career has been disappointing. This man worked his a** off to get back to the NBA after two years away, and I thought he looked good in the preseason. To see his comeback end like this is just heartbreaking. #BenSimmons #NBA #nbanews #drenchmansports

Where are all them loudmouth, lunatic, delusional-a** Rams fans who thought they were gonna go undefeated and be the greatest team ever once they got Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald? Now look at y’all a** sitting at 2-4, trash as h*ll, just like us! #LosAngelesRams #RamsHouse #nfl #drenchmansports

Now, y’all sit up here and let Cowboys fans say they’re going to the Super Bowl every goddamn year. So you’re GODDAMN RIGHT I’m about to say the Tennessee Titans are about to run off FIVE STRAIGHT WINS! I SAID WHAT I SAID! WE BACK! IT IS WHAT IT IS! This is the first of many! #TitanUp #TennesseeTitans #nfl #drenchmansports

We got us one boys!!!!!! 🙌🏾😤 #titans #titanup #tennesseetitans #nfl #drenchmansports

I think it’s kind of DISRESPECTFUL that so many people have the Philadelphia 76ers over the New York Knicks, especially with Joel Embiid moving the way he is. I’m gonna say this now: Joel Embiid could be the DOWNFALL of the 76ers if he can’t get in shape, get off the ground, or provide any type of resistance at the rim. Teams are gonna have a FIELD DAY attacking the basket against him! #JoelEmbiid #Philadelphia76ers #nba #drenchmansports #filmbreakdown

I know a lot of people think Giannis is washed up, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he’s still VERY MUCH capable of winning MVP, just like every other top superstar in the NBA. #GiannisAntetokounmpo #NBA #miamiheat #drenchmansports

Having Kyrie Irving back is so good for the NBA! Not only because he’s entertaining, but because it’s dope to see him come back from injury on his own time and look like he never lost a step. What are y’all expectations for Kyrie this season? All-Star? All-NBA? How many points per game? #KyrieIrving #NBA #dallasmavericks #drenchmansports

Watching D’Angelo Russell hoop in China has been dope to see because it looks like he’s getting his swagger back! It looks like he’s getting back to playing basketball at the high level we all expected from him. I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of NBA teams called him before the end of the season. A team I’d like to see him back with is the Brooklyn Nets. I think they could use him. I also think the Washington Wizards would be a great spot for him. And my sleeper team? The Houston Rockets! I think Houston could use another ball handler alongside the talent they already have. #DAngeloRussell #NBA #lining #drenchmansports

A lot of people questioned the Ja Morant trade to Portland, but I think the preseason gave us a glimpse of why this move makes perfect sense. It’s a small sample size, but the different actions Portland can run with its guards could make this offense extremely dangerous. Let’s break down the film! #JaMorant #TrailBlazers #nbabasketball

Steve Kerr is going to have a FIELD DAY with Yaxel Lendeborg! I think he’s the missing piece the Warriors have been looking for this whole time. They tried it with James Wiseman. They tried it with Jonathan Kuminga. But I think they finally got it right with Lendeborg! I’m excited about the offensive versatility he brings, especially playing alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green. And if they can get Jimmy Butler back and Porzingis healthy? OH MY GOODNESS! You’re talking about a match made in heaven! #GoldenStateWarriors #YaxelLendeborg #dubnation

Seeing Ja Morant happy and playing good basketball in Portland is so dope! I know it’s just the preseason, but I’m excited about the weapons Ja gets to play with and how smoothly this team could operate once the regular season starts. The Portland Trail Blazers could be a VERY competitive team this year! #JaMorant #TrailBlazers #nba

The Golden State Warriors are in a strange position because they could easily fall out of the playoff picture early in the season, or they could grind it out like they’ve been doing for the past couple of years and fight for a play-in spot. But obviously, that’s still not contending. You still have Steph Curry, who’s getting older. You signed him to a contract extension, you just re-signed Draymond Green, and now you’re paying Poole $22 million a year. Things could get shaky in Golden State! #GoldenStateWarriors #StephenCurry #dubnation #drenchmansports

Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball look great together! I think their ability to shoot you out of the gym will always be a part of their game plan, hence why they get up so many three-point shots. And it’s just fun watching them play together. But let me play devil’s advocate a little bit. I’ve always been the one to say that Anthony Edwards just needs to be a shooting guard. And I’m also one who believes LaMelo Ball plays better when he’s tasked with scoring rather than playmaking for everybody else. He’s still gifted at what he does, but I think putting another table-setting guard on the court with them would make them even better. #AnthonyEdwards #LaMeloBall #nba

I don’t know which coach is on the hotter seat: Nick Sirianni of the Philadelphia Eagles or Dan Quinn of the Washington Commanders. But there’s no possible way both of these teams should’ve lost the way they did. One, the Eagles losing the way they lost. And two, the Commanders not finding a way to beat the Giants. Both of those are fireable offenses to me! But which one do y’all think was worse? #PhiladelphiaEagles #WashingtonCommanders #nfl #drenchmansports

If a motherf*er is a mediocre coach, please leave his a on the sidelines. He does not deserve to be promoted to head coach. Robert Saleh is a perfect example of why every coach in the NFL is not meant to be a head coach. He’s just a good coordinator. I would even argue that I don’t know if he’s a good coordinator. He’s just good at managing good talent. He does not have the intangibles, and he does not have the voice to uplift this bad Titans team and turn them into a good one. We’re having the same issues we had last year. Every single issue we had last year, we still have this year. That is a sign that you’re NOT the guy for the job! #TennesseeTitans #TitanUp #robertsaleh #nfl #drenchmansports

The Golden State Valkyries swept the Aces straight off their feet, 3-0, and advanced to the WNBA Finals in just their second season in the league, where they’ll take on the Atlanta Dream! I’m a little torn between these two teams because Golden State has the defense to completely shut Atlanta’s offense down. But at the same time, the Dream have the offensive firepower to make things difficult for Golden State. I don’t know how this series is gonna play out, but one thing I do know is that it’s gonna be EPIC! It’s gonna be a DOGFIGHT! #WNBAFinals #GoldenStateValkyries #atlantadream #drenchmansports
