I built a knowledge network as superintendent - a database of parent experts who guest spoke and observed student presentations. Teachers connected with industry partners. Students saw adults care about their learning. It wasn’t perfect. It was a step. Now here’s what YOU can do: Teachers - invite one parent expert to observe presentations. Parents - tell your school what you do and offer to speak. Admins - build the database. Just names, jobs, willingness to help. Student interest in CTE jumped 71% nationally in five years.
