Rather than cutting out earlier this Friday, I figured it was time to make a spray paint storage rack for my dad…. It is long over due! The CNC file pack for these includes fusion 360 files, Vectric vcarve CRV files, DXF and SVG files for the carbide and easel users out there. This design holds 20 spray paint cans and can be mounted to a wall with the brackets that can be cut out or if you want the rack to be freestanding on a workbench there are optional feet. In all it took roughly 1/3 a sheet of 4x8 plywood and was super quick to assemble after cleaning up the edges with a sander and flush trim router bit. #cncwood #plywoodproject #spraypaint #woodproject #woodworking #plywood #woodtok #fusion360 #vectric #maker #workbench

Today was a day where I needed to break away from all the production work and work on a new design and test out a new endmill. This insert is for the Dewalt ToughSystem 2.0 users. I had a Dewalt 20v drill and impact kit DCD800 and DCF850 with a charger and 2amp batteries so it get only right to ship out a new design. For the 1/2” foam cutter from @bitsbitscompany I can’t say enough good things about it. Here is a new update for the 3 compartment divider that goes in the Rolling Packout box 48-22-8426. The piece at the back was beefed up to add some strength and it also creates two small compartments for storing bit cases and other small items. The “Stubby” version of the 3 Compartment divider also saw the same update. The “Stubby” version is compatible with the red plastic tool tray 48-22-8045. It’s pretty rewarding starting something new and learning a ton along the way. I’ve done a number of inserts for difference M12 and M18 tools and with each insert I spot little nuances that eventually lead to a full overhaul of my understanding and the process I follow. This is the benefit of going the analog route for certain parts of the process and being more hands on. I am looking forward to the days where I have a 3D scanner for increased efficiency, but I value the hands on process a ton. The Crate Hardware Bin Divider (HBD!) is the product here at Dryforge that I enjoy using the most. Sometimes I enjoy products for their complexity, other times because they’re enjoyable to make but this one because it helps keep all my bins of hardware neatly kept in place when I am doing projects away from the shop. The Crate HBD can fit up to 8 red bins in the back two slots. After making the M12 installation driver insert, I wanted to make one for the Milwaukee M12 orbital sanders. This is probably my favorite tool in my shop because it keeps my hands away from splinters!
