A love letter to Garry’s Mod - a game that shaped my career⁠ ⁠ I got into filmmaking through GMod Machinimas in 2007. In 2008, I met a New Yorker by the name of Elias “Max” Hiller through his HL2-inspired series 'The Hunted' on YouTube. He invited me to make short films in GMod with his group, [TWP], and it snowballed from there.⁠ ⁠ In 2009, after a couple years of projects, I invited a Canadian viewer with the username “Anbrad” to work with us the same way Max invited me. Fast forward 17 years, he’s visited England twice, I’ve stayed with his family in Canada twice, and in five months he’s flying over again to see me marry the love of my life.⁠ ⁠ Probably seems like an exaggeration, but without Garry’s Mod & Machinima I probably wouldn’t have studied film/VFX at all, wouldn’t have edited videos for nearly 20 years, and wouldn’t have met my fiancée since I moved up to Sheffield to study film at uni.⁠ ⁠ So much love to my [TWP] boys - Anbrad, Ryan, Bobs, Devin, Dan, Tim, Yegor, and most of all Max.
