Everyone knows how much this band means to me, and I’ll scream it every time. I started listening to twenty one pilots in 2013, when Vessel first came out. Ironically, an ex boyfriend got me into them (shouts out to you). From then on, I was hooked. Fast forward to 2015 - Blurryface came out. That album was my saving grace. I went through hell and back that summer and that year. I remember listening to that entire album front to back - crying, happy, sad, excited. Every single emotion. That album saved my life. And it even gave me my first tattoo. Then fast forward to 2017 - The Emotional Roadshow Tour. I bought tickets and I never experienced a show like that in my entire life. (That’s when I was also introduced to Jon Bellion - fucking brilliant dude and talented ass musician). I felt alive at that show. And I’ll never forget how accepted I felt. Then the dreaded hiatus for a year. But damn, it was worth the wait. Trench. I remember exactly where I was when I first heard “cover me” from the intro to Jumpsuit. It turned midnight and I swore to myself that I would be putting my headphones in as SOON as I clocked out of work. This album was another album that changed everything for me. The song that I clung onto was Neon Gravestones. They made a point to talk about mental health, and “pleading how IT does not get glorified.” Again, I owed this band everything for their music. Scaled and Icy comes along in 2021. That period of time, especially when Covid first hit, was such a period of uncertainty. For everyone, for the world. Live shows weren’t happening. The world was silent. A lot of people hated and didn’t understand SAI, but for me, it was another musical outlet. And in that time of uncertainty, we STILL had music. A lot of fans didn’t understand, but the story was still there with those songs. February 22nd, 2024. I Am Clancy. “I am trapped. Stuck in a cycle I have never been able to break.” The story continues. Now we found out who Clancy was, who the Torchbearer was, Nico, the Bishops, the Banditos, Dema, Trench.. it all tied together into one storyline. A storyline that lasted over a decade. A storyline about fighting your demons, your mental health, anxiety, insecurities, facing your fears head on. And in just a little over two weeks, that will all come to an end. September 12th, 2025. Breach. Hello Blurryface, Hello Clancy. This is it. I owe this band so much of my life. Music in general for me is an outlet. And this band music has been there for me when I couldn’t even be there for myself. This band cares so much about their fans, and their mental health. The way they have created this story, this world - and have made it so fun and interesting and a puzzle for all of us - I don’t even know how to put it into words. I will be seeing them for the 9th time on September 28th. And in the (almost) nine times I’ve seen them - it never gets old. They put on a hell of a show, but they put it on for US and make sure it’s always the best show possible. I wish so badly I could tell Tyler and Josh thank you - for continuously saving my life with their music. I’ve met so many people through this band that I still am in contact with to this day just by going to shows alone. I’m forever grateful for The Clique. I’m forever grateful that I was shown this band. I’m sad the story is coming to an end, but I’m so grateful that this band has done this for us for over a decade. I’m glad I have the will power to (sometimes) pull myself out of dark spaces. Id also rather be losing sleep doing this than something I regret. It’s been almost a year since I left my toxic relationship and my toxic situation. And even after all this time - it kind of still feels like I haven’t REALLY found out who I am yet. But I know that I have a lot of time. If anyone knows me that well - summer will always be the hardest season. I went through hell and back every other summer from 2015-2019. I haven’t made a TikTok in a while but don’t come for me. Twenty One Pilots is releasing their new single off of Breach called “The Contract” this Thursday. We’ve been getting all these cryptic tweets from Blurryface. Blurry even TEXTED people. AND sent videos to peoples X’s DMS. Now, I re-watched all of the reels that the bands instagram account has posted about the countdown to The Contract. With the countdown, there are dots in between the numbers. And in TWO of the reels, some of those dots “blink” or “flash”. They’ve been hiding messages with Morse Code. So with my detective work, I realized that those dots that “flash” spell out something in Morse Code: dot dot dash dot. What does that spell? RUN. I recently just got out of a toxic relationship and a toxic living environment. It took me a year to finally move out on my own and do something for myself and my mental health.
