On the ground, Ellie is the sensible one who actually keeps the mission on track with her pulse rifle, while Henry causes absolute confusion by pulling weird, high-tech gadgets out of his pockets to fix problems . This whole mess is kept invisible from enemy radar by Burt, who sits safely at a computer screen or a panel providing deadpan, unbothered tech support. Their bomding is very..uh...'Professional'. Charles and Burt are cousins who share a total inability to panic, so they will casually gossip about their day over the radio while literal explosions are going off around Charles's cockpit. meanwhile, Henry and Charles act like hyperactive best friends, constantly bickering like an old married couple and purposefully invading each other's personal space just to tease or annoy one another. This leaves Ellie as the exhausted big sister of the group, constantly shouting at them to shut up and focus so they don't get killed(which was not possible since...uhm..reasons). Burt ended up joining this weird family after walking away from his boring desk job with the Toppats. For him, the choice was simple: the Ace Team has much cooler tech to play with, the daily field missions are actually exciting, and for the cherry ontop, the government breakroom coffee simply tastes a million times better than the stale garbage he used to drink.
