How it feels owning a horse. 🐴 😂 Financial ruin. 😂😂😂

If you can’t laugh at yourself, you’re in the wrong sport! For a little context, we lost my bay mare aka Spicy Secret unexpectedly in late April to colic. Despite aggressive treatment we couldn’t turn it around and she was not a good candidate for colic surgery. We were all very sad and it’s taken me a while to find the right words to share her passing publicly. Oliver and Lego seemed lost without a third member of the herd, even several months after her passing. When this kiddo popped up in my feed in June, things quickly fell into place for him to become a new family member. Meet Squiggy, (fka Vegas) 18 month old Dutch gelding. The big guys took to him quickly and although they miss their queen bee, Squiggy has become a needed distraction who is already much loved by everyone. He will be appearing more frequently in content as he settles in. Let the games begin! #Equestrian #yearling #equestrianlife #yolo #letthegamesbegin
