So one of the most important things that we talk about in showing your pig is understanding what views you want to show and what views you want might wanna shy away from showing. Every pig is different. There are some pigs that give us a great chest view or pigs that maybe gives a better side profile, or pigs that maybe give a good view going away, but maybe they're a little narrow coming at you. You got to kind of figure out what the best view for your animal is and show that the most. Right. Obviously the judge is worth their weight. They're going to find some of the flaws, but you don't want to maybe over show some of those flaws. So that's kind of what we're getting away from. It's not so much even, like, hiding things, it's just kind of not showing them over and over and over again. You kind of want to avoid some things. So this is a good example on this, this bird guilt that. That Lauren's got that she's showing here. This is one that we've videoed very, very early. So we have kind of coach Lauren here just real briefly on, uh, showing what this girl's best view is. And this girl's best view is on to the side. She gives us a really good side profile. Um, her head is, uh, one of those that she can't be overly up with her head because she'll maybe wanna Slow down or back up, or her shoulder can get maybe just a pinch straight. Um, but the view that we're trying to avoid the most with her is her chest. She has not been blessed with the biggest, a boldest kind of chess floor as she drives right out the judge. So we're trying to avoid that. So what we're going to do is just like how she came right out of the gate. You know, she showed me just a side profile of 45 angle, um, right out of the gate, instead of showing me that pig's chest. So another way that she can avoid this by showing the chest is showing kind of a. As she turns, not necessarily turning towards me, even though she just did. That's okay, but she's gonna show basically right into a 45, right into that side profile. She could also go away from me. Like, she's gonna show right now, go away, and then turn to the right. Hard right, hard right, other right. There you go. Where she's not necessarily showing that chest view. By coming right at me again, she's avoiding that. She's gonna show the side profile, and it's okay to kind of go back and forth the side profile. The show ring that this skill is going to show in is smaller. It's not the biggest show ring in the world. So we can kind of hide some flaws in a small show ring. And one of Those flaws being a smaller chest, so she can outlast some of the competition from a feet and leg standpoint and just a build from the side standpoint, it's that chest view that's gonna get her in trouble. So we're just gonna avoid that. So moral of the story here on a guilt like this is you don't wanna show off your pigs flaws. Judges likely gonna catch him at some point. But if you're narrow chested, don't show chest view over and over and over again. Or if you're both legged going away, don't show rear view over and over and over again. If you're broken topped, don't show side profile. Figure out where your pig's strings are and really try to hone in on those and show those off to the judge the best you can.
