Or at least, the version of them we grew up believing in is. The old dream was: get discovered, get signed, get the budget, become successful. Today, labels often want you to already have the streams, followers, viral moments and audience before they sign you. Which raises the question: if an artist has already built the audience, created the demand and proven the concept… what exactly are they being discovered for? Labels can still offer funding, connections, marketing and global infrastructure. But they’re no longer the only way in. Artists can distribute music, build communities, sell tickets and reach millions without one. Getting signed isn’t necessarily the start of a career anymore. Sometimes it happens after you’ve already built one. A record deal isn’t a golden ticket. It’s a business partnership. And artists should start asking: what are they actually bringing to the table?

Next update soon 🤍 #interior #housetour

Little update since moving in a few weeks ago. The place is coming together nicely but I still have got a long way to go. Stay tuned ✨
