Today I'm sharing a method for getting a snake that can't eat on its own to eat. The snake in the video is completely unable to eat on its own. First, pick up the mouse and wave it in front of it to see if it shows any signs of attacking. After waving it in front of it for a while, if it still won't eat on its own, we'll use the method I'm teaching you. First, pick up the snake and grasp its neck—specifically, the neck, not the head—to leave enough space for it to open its mouth. Then, we pick up the baby mouse. Once we've got it, we use the mouse to touch the snake's face to stimulate its attack. Just now, we saw some mouth opening movements. Now it's biting. After that, we slowly release it and place it back in the box. During this process, the snake may loosen its grip, as shown in the video. Then, we can try again a second or third time, touching its face with the mouse. This is actually a way to get the snake to attack. If it bites again, we slowly release it again. After returning it, we need to observe it for a while. Even if it doesn't spit it out immediately, it might still spit it out if it doesn't swallow it down. Here we see it's loosened its jaws. So we can try a third time. I didn't capture the video of the third attempt, but now it's taking hold of the food again. I put it back, so we need to observe it for a while. Here we can see a very slight movement of lifting its mouth and then biting it, indicating it's swallowing. Now we can clearly see it's swallowing. At this point, our little snake has started successfully. Next, we'll close the box and let it eat slowly. After half an hour, we'll open the box and observe whether it has completely ingested the food. This means our snake has started successfully.
