Joe recreated this legendary Joey Jordison moment from the making of Roadrunner United using Modern & Massive 2 — proper nostalgia. Watch his stick height closely — the resulting velocities are probably lower than you’d expect, and that nuance is key to capturing the feel. Since the original performance wasn’t tracked to a click, Joe went all-in to match it: programming off-grid and introducing subtle tempo shifts later in the clip to mirror the natural push and pull.
