Okay, hear us out. We LOVE Toyotas. There’s a reason so many of them are still on the road with hundreds of thousands of miles. But here in the Midwest, the drivetrain can have a lot of life left while the frame tells a completely different story. And this one has seen some things. We started by mechanically descaling the heavy, loose rust. From there: Salts Gone helps remove the road salt and chlorides that contribute to corrosion instead of simply washing away the visible grime. Rusts Gone is a tannic acid-based rust converter that chemically reacts with remaining iron oxide, converting it into a more stable iron tannate layer and preparing the surface for protection. Under Gone takes it a step further. It combines rust-converting chemistry with a calcium sulfonate corrosion barrier that helps keep salt, brine and moisture away from the metal.
