Absolute Bomb Track Another absolute banger Masda dropped the other day. Funny, as I’ve recently been on a bit of an electro house/electroclash journey, then he goes and drops DJ Hell’s remix of a rave classic. Bouncy as fuck, with a very naughty bassline and a thumping kick that had the warm low…

Drumcode Classic Dropped by Masda at fabric Well, I had absolutely bags of fun at the fabric birthday, despite it being a bit rammo and missing Zip because I forgot my ID… I’ve got to say, Masda was easily my favourite of the night. Probably the best I’ve ever witnessed him! He had the crowd…

Last one, but it would be disingenuous not to post some old tech house when thinking about fabric, especially from the fellas Terry Francis and Evil Eddie Richards. This one is a proper hybrid of groove with just a little bit of darkness and evil thrown in. All the drums on this are awesome…

Class peaktime ‘rolley techno’ from Mr Hawtin It rolls and rolls and rolls… If I was for whatever reason playing Room 1, I’d deffo be dropping this in the middle of smashing out the rammers. This type of rolling bass always sounds perfect in there. You can just imagine it playing, the smoke…

One of the Greatest Ricardo Remixes TikTok muted my last Ricardo post. How do they expect me to post a one-minute clip of a Ricardo tune? Assholes. Continuing in the vein of tunes which scream fabric is this fantastic remix of Cellphones Dead by Riccy. Never actually heard him play this one, but…

Fabric Tech house beaut Popping down for the fabric birthday this weekend, for the Sunday into Monday morning shift, which is always a fabulous time! So tunes which scream to me Fabric will be the order of proceedings for the rest of the week. First up, this absolute peach from Slam, which Craig…

Been extremely late posting this one, as life stuff got in the way and I wasn’t really listening to much electronic music. However, here are three mixes which soundtracked my September, along with some thoughts and some track IDs. A fresh one with a snippet of Z@p in fine form, where rolling…

Friday calls for some groovy shit to kick off the weekend, and this boppy beat should do the trick. A proper roller with a very deep, rumbling bassline and a cheeky little “womp” vocal thrown in there… This tune is sparse as fuck, but sometimes simplicity is all you need, especially deep into an…

Here Have Two Tonight! Some sensual French house from the 00s. Going through some old folders on my laptop and just finding gold after gold at the minute… been spamming group chats soz pals. What can I say? I just love sharing tunage!! Sleazy synth stabs dominating throughout, then a stretchy acid…

Slick Remix of a Famous Electro House Classic Seem to have a calling to tunes created in the 00s lately. I think I might transform this into an 00s revival account… electro house and Berlin/old-school DC10-style minimal are ripe for a comeback. Let’s make it happen. Steve Bug’s remix of this…

Good memories of finding this sick, sick 00s tech house tune during lockdown in 2020. The bass rumbles and roars alongside a naughty kick and some lovely keys. Everything about this tune is just fucking naughty. Don’t think much else needs describing, so I’m gunna be lazy… just listen and enjoy…

A real tribally roller Not sure why my current musical listening cycle seems to be centred around very summer-adjacent genres like tribal tech/minimal when winter is well and truly on the way… maybe my brain is trying to stave it off for as long as possible. Anyway, have this sexy, groovy…

A Proper Housey Doingz Tech House Classic Not been listening to much electronic music lately, hence the absence of posts, but back with a bang with this classic from Housey Doingz. A very pumpy groove from the kick, which combines lovely with that closed and open hi-hat combo going “ch ts ch ts”…

Tribally Trumpet Booming Tech House Wow, how good is that feeling when you finally find a tune you’ve been looking for years? Heard this years ago on an old Cocoon mix and never came across the name until today. Don’t think I’ve ever posted any tribal tech house on here, so have some of this……

A Harmonious 90s inspired Proggy Sunset Banger Whilst the name of the tune somewhat makes me laugh… let’s rock on, guys! This track is bloody lush. A tune with two main components: a rough-sounding acid line which progressively rolls forward before breaking down into a nice little up and down key…

Absolute classic that had the mid-2010s club scene in a chokehold. Been listening to the Bicep Lot Radio from yesterday, which is a beautiful hour of ambient, so was inspired to post a Bicep tune. Always been a fan of the fellas from back in the day before they become superstars! This one, from…

Alien Detroit Techno from Father Hood! Posted a housey one from his Floorplan alias, so you know it made sense to post some proper alien shit under his own name… Was a bloody tough one to choose as well, with such a deep and wide back catalogue of tunes from over the years. His stuff from the 90s…

Disco House Classic from the man Robert Hood! First time posting a Robert Hood track, which is a surprise considering he’s easily one of my favourite artists! An absolute disco house heater from his Floorplan alias which sets the dancefloor on fire every time it’s dropped, especially when you…

A Dancefloor friendly cover of an absolute classic synonymous with an amazing film about an infamous fictional serial killer. This one blurs the lines between at home reflective synth pop song and an emotional dance floor one. Close a set with this and your getting tears…. the melancholy the…

Euphoric Synthy goodness Some tunes just instantly put a smile on your face, and this synthwave banger… oh boy, does this one make my little heart flutter and have me grinning like an excited little boy. Everything about this track is joyous and wonderful, but those hair raising synth chords are…

Acid Techno to watch Blade slay goth vampires in a club too A 303 acid line which unmistakably goes hand in hand with shooting up a nightclub full of vampires with a shotgun (if you know, you know). The rolling bassline is naughty as fuck too, alongside some evil as fuck horn sound, the robotic…

Emotional Belgian Trance Masterpiece Trance comes in all shapes and sizes, but there’s nothing quite like a proper Belgian trance tune that pulls on the heartstrings and generates those dancefloor feels. The classic arpeggios synonymous with 90s trance, repeating in an upwards trajectory, then…

Housey Groovebomb to Get You Moving Bank Holiday Sunday… what better way to kick it off than with a sexy, groovy house bomb? Sampled from an old funk and soul track by Teddy Pendergrass, reworked with a phat kick, that repeating soulful vocal of “the music got you moving”, and one seriously funky…

Synthy Dark Dancefloor Closer A subgenre I’ve really got sucked into this year is darkwave. It’s like if you gave The Cure a shitload of synths, then somehow had a baby with Italo, Joy Division and Depeche Mode. This one is a particularly beautiful darkwave track, albeit on the lighter side…

Simple dubby minimal Berlin goodness Been a busy couple of weeks, but back to it with a simple yet beautiful track from Berghain Viking Marcel Dettmann. The clue is in the title. Plain is very, very simple, but oh so lovely on the ears. That rolling bass drum brings the Basic Channel vibes, while…

Low slung sharp acid electro beast The Uruguayans absolutely tanned this low slung acid beast in 2024. Thankfully, it was finally released to us mere mortals a couple of months ago on the mighty Overthink Records. With certain sounds in electronic music, I always picture something in my head. This…

Tech house carneval build up banger Seen a video of Riccy playing this at Dekmantel over the weekend. A proper mid-2000s Ibiza classic full of that Latin samba magic. Basically the quintessential Ricy Y Martin tune, even though he didn’t produce it. Fittingly however, it was released on his…

One of the creepiest tunes I’ve ever heard. Something a bit different from what I usually post. Not a club track by any means, but bloody hell do I love a bit of Aphex Twin. I mean, I love this entire album, but this has got to be one of the creepiest things I’ve ever heard. Those haunting horns…

Ghetto Booty Tech One of those rare times in life I’m actually buzzing for the weekend to end. Three days in work… then we’re back standing on some great halls in Norfolk.. Catch me double parked with two Peach Jubels watching Dan Andrei boot things off on Thursday. But for now some Ghetto house…

Pwoper Naughty Tech Hauss It’s Friday and everyone’s buzzing. Doubly so with Houghton just around the corner. What better way to kick off the weekend than some proper tech hausss. A slamming kick gets proceedings underway, followed by a wiggly bassline that brings all the bounce. Clicky wooden…
