“Shy Girl” - my FIFTH studio album is out in the world TODAY!! 🧡 Produced by @benjimck1 mastered by @frankcarvery 📀 I am so happy to share these songs with you. This album would not have been possible without my good people and music family to guide me through it. Thank you so very much to @generalroots @joeprice90 @jamesmckoneuk @lukeallwood @lorenzosound and most of all @benjimck1 for musical world adventures. I loved making this album with you! Shy Girl is out tomorrow! 🥹 It’s been two or more years in the making, and the day is almost here. It’s been a real journey of growth and patience that I’ve poured so much love and life into 🌟 Before it’s yours, I wanted to tell you what Shy Girl really means to me and why this title felt so right #newalbum #loversrock #holliecook #shyness #shygirl

Shy Girl is yours in four days! 😍 I sat down with the lovely @ladyjanebongo to discuss my current favourite child (😆) and how I have changed since my debut album, both as a person and a musician. Let me tell you, it’s not always easy trying to level up every time you sit down to create something, but I am very proud of myself and my whole team for this one 🧡 Can’t wait for you to hear it ✨ #newalbum #reggae #loversrock #holliecook

Found this clip from rehearsals last month, the harmonies get me every single time 😍 #reggae #loversrock #harmonies

With just a week to go until my new album Shy Girl arrives, I’ve been looking back on some of my earlier releases with the amazing Mr Bongo, and this one was such a milestone for me 🎶 Written and produced with the legend Prince Fatty in his Brighton studio, Twice was born out of a difficult and emotional chapter of my life. It took me to places I’d never performed before, I got to hear my music with an orchestra for the first time, and I even made it to the U.S & got to perform on KEXP! ✨ For all of these reasons, the record will always hold a special place in my heart ♥️ #holliecook #reggae #loversrock

We Share Love, out now 💘 @benjimck1 chose this cover. He has a way of finding great songs that I would never consider taking on vocally, and so I accept the challenge! I love doing covers, and it felt right to close the album with this. It feels like a sweet farewell to close my next project 🧡 Hope you love it! #newmusicfriday #loversrock #reggae

V excited to share ‘We Share Love’, my cover of Skip Mahoney & The Casuals’ gorgeous 1974 classic, featuring the amazing @jalenngonda adding his magic on backing vocals ✨ It’s the closing track on Shy Girl, rooted in love and longing - the perfect send off 🧡 Out this Friday, can’t wait for you to hear it! 🌸 #holliecook #reggae #loversrock

Last night, I got the opportunity to play Shy Girl for some of my nearest and dearest, in the very same studio it was mastered 🧡 We’re getting so close to this baby being released now. I held it on my hands for the first time! And I can’t wait for you to hear it too 💫 Thank you so much to Frank and Alice for letting us share their beautiful space (and pets) and AMAZING food, to @mrbongoworldwide for organising and to all the friendly faces that came along 🥰 Remember, you can pre-order Shy Girl now! 🔗 #newalbum #albumlisteningparty #holliecook #loversrock
