Grandma's secret rainy day hacks that 90% of people don't know! One forgot your raincoat on a rainy day. Grab a large plastic bag, tie it around your neck, cross it over your head from the front, and drape it down your back. Just like that, you've got a makeshift raincoat that actually helps keep you dry. Two don't put shoe covers under your feet. They can make you slip in the rain and your shoes can still get wet. Instead, put the covers over the tops of your shoes. They help keep you from slipping and keep your shoes cleaner and dryer. Three heading out in the rain stop rolling up your pant legs. Just pull the pant legs on backward and fold them up and they turn into makeshift shorts. No more worrying about getting your pant legs soaked. 4. Need both hands free while holding an umbrella. Tape a clothes hanger to the umbrella, pull the hanger open to both sides, then wear it like a backpack. Just like that, your hands are free. 5. Hit a puddle on a rainy day, lay your umbrella across the puddle and step on it to get across without soaking your shoes. 6. Getting out of the car in the rain stick the umbrella outside the window before opening it. That way you can get out without getting soaked. 7. Grandpa cut a hole in the front of an old rain boot and slipped it over the end of a Drain pipe.
