There’s an immense power in letting go… For some reason we think holding on will bring more meaning, more purpose, more identity. But in reality, it blocks us from our highest self. They’re seasons in everything. They’re seasons in you. Holding on to the past, versions of yourself that no longer serve you are only block your blessings. It keeps you feeling stuck and unfulfilled. Getting to the other side of that isn’t easy… It might even feel like everything is falling apart. But when you get past the emotion/feeling, you can see clearly and receive the messages you need 🫶🏽 #letgo #mindset #flow

Truths about being a dj #djtruths

1. Rejection. All those unanswered emails, the gigs you don’t get, the opportunities that don’t pan out… it happens. Try not to take it personal. The right opportunities will align for you. Keep putting in the work 2. You represent yourself… your career is in your hands. It’s your responsibility to show up for yourself, stay on top of your craft and show up. No one else can do it for you 3. Networking is constant. Building relationships , maintaining them, reaching out and putting yourself out there isn’t a side task, it’s a lifestyle. But most importantly I’d say focus on making genuine connections 4. Keep working on your craft. Even when you have no gigs, the work doesn’t stop. Practice, experiential, refine your mixing, updates your crates and stay on top of new music. I get that it can be alot, but when things get busy you’ll be happy you did 5. Prioritized your mental and physical health. PLEASE!!! This is a non negotiable. It’s not all about work. Without you, there’s no show, no energy, no set, no money… Rest, exercise and try to slow down when you can. I practice daily meditation along with exercise on a consistent basis. And just to add, social media plays a roll in mental health as well. Dont be afraid to take breaks from it. Your mind will thank you #creat#creatorsearchinsightsgsdj
