Link to this question: https://www.interviewmaster.ai/case-study/stripe-subscription-pricing-tiers-customer-retention-analysis-case-study Question: You're a Product Analyst at Stripe working on subscription billing. Your team has noticed concerning patterns in payment failures. How would you dig into the root causes and develop an action plan to address the most critical issues? How I would approach this 1. Understand the trend – When did payment failures start rising? Was the change sudden or gradual? Look for seasonality or anomalies. 2. Analyze by segment – Break down failures by region, payment method, customer type, plan tier, and processor to pinpoint where the problem is concentrated. 3. Generate hypotheses and solutions – Brainstorm possible causes (e.g., processor issues, expired cards, pricing changes) and potential fixes for each root cause. 4. Prioritize action plan – Rank solutions based on potential impact, ease of implementation, and speed to resolution. #casestudy #casestudyinterview #datascienceinterview #dataanalystinterview
