The plant mess stays right here, not all over my house 🌿 Say hello to my mobile potting and repotting station. It’s on wheels, so I can roll it wherever my plants need me. I added a cooling rack on top, make sure it’s at least 16 inches long, and it creates the perfect mess free surface for repotting smaller plants. I keep two scoopers on hand for different size scoops, and of course my go to soil mix. It’s equal parts FoxFarm Organic Soil, perlite, and orchid bark for a chunky, well draining blend that plants love. Noticed little red spots on your fiddle leaf fig leaves? Don’t panic — it’s not a pest or disease. This is called edema, and it’s super common with fiddle leaf figs. It happens when the plant takes up water faster than it can release it, causing tiny raised spots on the leaves. You’ll usually see it when watering is heavy or inconsistent, light is lower, or humidity is high. The good news? • Edema is harmless • The spots fade as the leaf matures • It won’t spread to new growth To help prevent it, keep watering consistent, make sure your pot drains well, and give your plant bright, indirect light. Basically… your plant is just saying “I’ve had enough water.” 💚 #fiddleleaffig #houseplantcare #planttips #plantparenthood #indoorplantsoftiktok

I neglected this Bird of Paradise leaf, thinking it would eventually uncurl on its own. Unfortunately, that didn’t go as planned. Sometimes when these big, beautiful leaves struggle to open, they can get stuck, causing them to tear, crease, or come out looking damaged. And once that damage happens, there’s no fixing it. The good news is that a little extra moisture can sometimes make all the difference. Now, I’m not saying you need to help every new leaf open. Most will do just fine on their own. But when one seems to be struggling, a little extra care can go a long way. Have you ever had a Bird of Paradise leaf come out looking like this? I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this. My bougainvillea needed a trellis, but finding one that fit inside my planter while being sturdy enough to support the plant was a challenge. I was so happy to find this customizable system! I could adjust the size for a perfect fit inside my planter. The galvanized wire provides the strength my bougainvillea needs as it grows. I’ve never put my fiddle leaf fig in a self-watering pot because I prefer to let the soil dry out between waterings. Fiddle roots need oxygen, and when the soil stays soggy for too long, those air pockets fill with water, which can stress the roots and eventually lead to root rot. I prefer a pot with good drainage so I can water thoroughly, let the excess drain out, and give the roots a chance to breathe before watering again. 🪴 fiddle leaf fig care | fiddle leaf fig watering | best pot for fiddle leaf fig | fiddle leaf fig root rot | fiddle leaf fig drainage | how to water a fiddle leaf fig | fiddle leaf fig tips | indoor plant care #fiddleleaffig #fiddleleaffigcare #houseplants #plantcare #indoorplants

Do you really want to stare at that damaged growth for the next few years? 👀 I know it’s hard to cut off a BIG part of a tree you’ve spent years growing. But sometimes, you just have to bite the bullet and trust the process. Make the cut. Give it some patience. We’ve all flipped a nursery pot upside down and called it a plant stand. But do you REALLY want to trust that with one of your heavier plants?! This pure iron plant riser is so clutch for those bigger, heavier plants. It’s super sturdy, and I love that I can adjust the height depending on the plant, planter, or space I’m styling. No more stacking random things underneath trying to get the height just right. And for my outdoor planters, elevating them makes such a difference too, especially when you want better drainage without filling that entire planter with soil. Sometimes it’s the little plant styling tricks that make the biggest difference. Your new fiddle leaf fig deserves the best start — and it all begins before it even comes inside. Here are the 3 things I always do first: 1️⃣ Check and refresh the soil. Bad soil = unhappy fiddle. Soak the root ball, remove the old soil, and repot into fresh well-draining soil with good drainage. 2️⃣ Clean the leaves. Soak, clean, and wipe them down so they can actually breathe and absorb light. 3️⃣ Don’t prune just yet. I know it’s tempting but wait 4 to 6 weeks — pruning too soon will stress it out. Once it’s pest-free, it comes inside immediately and finds a bright indirect light spot. 🌞 Save this for the next time you bring home a fiddle leaf fig. 🌿 #fiddleleaffig #plantcare #planttips #houseplants #plantmom

No more struggling with heavy planters. 🙌 I planted a bougainvillea in the 20-gallon planter, but I won’t be using the self-watering system with this one since bougainvilleas prefer to dry out between waterings. For the 30-gallon planter, I’m planning to plant a citrus tree and use the optional Gen 3 self-watering system. 🍋 The upgraded Gen 3 design lets you refill the reservoir in seconds, making watering so much more convenient. Both sizes have locking wheels, which makes dealing with big, heavy planters SO much easier. My fiddle leaf fig sits right by a west-facing window, so it gets lots of bright afternoon light. ☀️ Since that afternoon sun can get pretty strong, I use light-filtering blinds to soften the direct sunlight while still keeping the room nice and bright. Fiddles LOVE light, and they usually do best much closer to a bright window than people realize. If yours isn’t growing the way you’d like, its light might be the first thing to check. fiddle leaf fig care | fiddle leaf fig lighting | fiddle leaf fig routine | bright indirect light | west facing window | ficus lyrata care

Not afraid to get a little dirt under your nails? 😂🪴 Your finger might be the best moisture meter you already own! It’s my favorite way to check the soil because I can actually feel how much moisture is still there. But if getting your hands dirty isn’t your thing, a soil probe or moisture meter works great too! Whichever method you choose, always check the soil BEFORE you water. 🌱💦 #HouseplantCare #PlantCareTips #Houseplants #IndoorPlants #PlantTips

Use code BUY1GET10 to save 10% on one item from the Houseplant Resource Center Amazon store. If your fiddle leaf fig looks thin or isn't growing much, a few simple changes can make a big difference. 🌞 Give it plenty of light. The brighter the indirect light, the bigger and healthier the leaves will be. Keep it as close to a bright window as possible. ✂️ Prune it regularly. Trimming encourages new branches, giving your plant that full, lush look. 🌱 Feed it consistently. Don't wait for a specific season. I seriously cannot wait to see this tree grow. If it gets anywhere close to the size of my 14 foot fiddle leaf fig, it’s going to be absolutely stunning. Here’s how I’m caring for it. • Give it plenty of bright light. The white parts of the leaves don’t photosynthesize, so the green parts need enough light to support the whole plant. • Water when the top few inches of soil feel dry, then water thoroughly. • Plant it in a nursery pot with excellent drainage holes, and use a soil mix made for fiddle leaf figs. • I fertilize every time I water using a diluted fertilizer, and I add gnat drops to every watering to help prevent fungus gnats. • Rotate it every couple of weeks so it grows evenly. If you’ve been wanting one, look for a smaller plant. They’re usually much more affordable, and it’s so rewarding to watch them grow. variegated fiddle leaf fig | fiddle leaf fig care | ficus lyrata variegata | rare houseplants | indoor plant care | houseplant tips #variegatedfiddleleaffig #fiddleleaffig #ficuslyrata #houseplantcare #indoorplants
