“As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” (John 3:14-15) My friends, the time is at hand. 🥺🙏🏽 Season 6 of @thechosentv releases on @primevideo November 15.

This is it. Finally. No, for reals. I think. I thought I said goodbye filming my last day on-camera in the @thechosentv. Days later, I thought I said farewell again, as we wrapped the entire series on our sound stage, despite knowing that marketing days were still ahead. But this Sunday, it was evident in my bones that not only had I spoken my last speech…not only had we filmed our last shot…but this would be my final day on the hallowed ground that connected me to the television series that changed my life, for what may be the rest of my life (but only God really knows). This moment is part of the culmination of not only the last eight years playing the Savior of the world, but the last twelve years playing Him as part of my creative collaboration with the show’s visionary creator, Dallas Jenkins. To have the divine blessing of working on a show for eight years, and then to be gifted this cherry on top—walking onto set as Christ, to be captured on film by one of the great masters of the photographic arts, Annie Leibovitz, while listening to John Debney’s haunting score fill the spaces of the set—was at once transcendent and otherworldly. I was, for a moment, completely speechless. Seems to be a theme for me this past month. I cannot stress to you the profound beauty and brilliance of what Annie, her team, and our cast and crew had the opportunity to create together. A divine collaboration, if ever there was one. Our week creating these stills was a reality my castmates and I could scarcely wrap our minds around. God, in His goodness, is profoundly mysterious and deliberately sweet. The gifts He’s given us in these final moments of the most important series of our lives are beyond anything we could have imagined. I do hope you’ll join us this season as we enter into the end of this story…which ultimately is the beginning of another. I will write more as I am able. I just need a moment in between the chaos to catch my breath. Love & Blessings, JR 🙏🏽♥️✝️

My friends…the hour has finally come. 🥹 “As for me, I am already being poured out as a libation, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.” - 2 Tim 4:6-7 Thank you all for supporting and praying for me, the show @thechosentv, my cast and crew and my team all these years. Stay tuned. More to come, when I find the words. With love, Jonathan 🙏🏽♥️

In honor of Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical, thought this was apropos given AI’s growing influence in the world: "In him [Jesus], “the mystery of humanity truly becomes clear” because his humanity is completely free, open to others, capable of building healthy and beautiful relationships and committed to the total gift of self."(Magnifica Humanitas §49) Blessings to all observing this Memorial Day! #PopeLeoXIV #Encyclical #AI #HumanDignityFirst

What an honor to be a part of our nation’s Rededication on the National Mall in Washington DC. 🥹🇺🇸 Always beyond blessed to share my love for Jesus and prayer with the world. His goodness is never-ending…He has filled my nets to the brim. I cannot wait to see what He has in store next for me. 🌊🐟 Season 7, here we come! 👀🙏🏽 It's been fun to re-release these “Becoming Jesus” mini-episodes from our early days of filming. You can watch the entire series on my Youtube (Jonathan Roumie Official) at the link in my bio🔗 #season7iscoming #becomingjesus #throwback #thechosen

The anticipation builds! 🤩😍 Grateful to the Lord for all the blessings that have come from this mission. Guide me Lord, as I continue to show people your face and not mine...to hear your voice, and not mine, so that they may come to fully experience your Mercy, your Love and your Holy Spirit, through the presentation of these gifts I lay at your altar of sacrifice. In Jesus' Name, Amen. 🙏🏽♥️🙌🏽 This clip is from an episode of my very brief “Becoming Jesus” series I captured during season 1. You can watch the entire series on my YouTube (Jonathan Roumie Official) at the link in my bio🔗 #season7iscoming #becomingjesus #throwback #thechosen

Eight years ago today, God changed the course of my life. The road ahead seemed impassible and impossible but He had other plans. And I couldn’t be more grateful…🥹 “My dwelling, like a shepherd's tent, is struck down and borne away from me; you have folded up my life, like a weaver who severs the last thread. Day and night you give me over to torment; I cry out until the dawn. Like a lion he breaks all my bones; day and night you give me over to torment. Like a swallow I utter shrill cries; I moan like a dove. My eyes grow weak, gazing heaven-ward: Lord, I am in straits; be my surety! You have preserved my life from the pit of destruction, when you cast behind your back all my sins. For it is not the nether world that gives you thanks, nor death that praises you; neither do those who go down into the pit await your kindness. The living, the living give you thanks, as I do today. Fathers declare to their sons, O God, your faithfulness. The Lord is our savior; we shall sing to stringed instruments in the house of the Lord all the days of our life.” (Isaiah 38:10-14, 17-20) In every opportunity He gives me, I seek only to point others back to Him. Today especially, given all He’s done in MY life, I invite you to surrender your own struggles to God and watch how He transforms them! ⚡️ “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Thank you for your prayers and support throughout this incredible journey. 🥰Please continue them as I begin the final chapter in the role that started this entire adventure of mine…that is, as Jesus in @thechosentvseries. God bless you, Jonathan 🙏🏽♥️ PS - Catch more of that pivotal moment eight years ago in my docuseries on Amazon, @jonathanandjesus #jonathanandjesus #grateful #mercy #thankyoulord

Hello friends... Just wanted to share a moment of gratitude with you all for the beauty of God's creation. Thank you Lord for the gift of every single day. 🙏🏽✝️❤️ And thank you in advance for all the mama's out there, biological, bonus, adoptive and otherwise...Happy Mother's Day! We give thanks to all of you for bringing us into the world! 🥰🙏🏽💝💐 #prayer #gratitude #thanksgiving #faith #mothersday

If only I’d known...😳🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Eight years ago, I was invited to play Jesus in an obscure, crowd-funded four-episode “web series” (basically 😂) which you could ONLY view via its proprietary app 😳🤪, that chronicled Christ’s ministry over three years. There was only enough money to fund the first HALF of the first season. But by the grace of God, here we are SEVEN seasons later! 😱😱 Words will never adequately describe the incredible honor it has been to portray our Lord in the @thechosentv, not only in those first four episodes - specifically because of what they meant to me at that moment in my life personally- but for all the subsequent moments, encounters, stories and spiritual lessons He would allow me to participate in and learn from all these years later. You see mere MONTHS prior to this video, I was utterly penniless, past-due (every bill imaginable 💸💸) and out of prospects, even with half-a-dozen side-grinds stacking my hustle. 😱😪🫥 So when I say “emotional”, I was barely keeping it together on-camera as I was reflecting on God‘s Infinite Mercy in my life at that moment. He is always true to His Word!! Trust Him with your troubles. I so appreciate all your prayers as I get ready to “step back into His sandals” one last time. 🥹🙏🏽❤️ Thanks for joining me friends. More of these early vlogs on the way! #season7iscoming #becomingjesus #throwback #thechosenS7

Happy Palm Sunday! 🌿🌿 As Christ enters Jerusalem and begins His journey to the Cross, I wanted to share a little BTS from our filming of the Triumphal Entry. Fun fact: the donkey I rode during the Triumphal Entry was named Thunderstruck! ⚡️⚡️ No matter what people say, riding a donkey is NOT like riding a bike. 🤣🫏 My friends, amid the blood, sweat and tears of intense suffering shed during His Passion, it can be difficult to see the triumph of Christ’s Resurrection days later, but Palm Sunday foreshadows Christ’s VICTORY over sin and death. 🥳😇 Praise our King! Praying for a fruitful Holy Week for you all. 🙏🏽💜 #palmsunday #holyweek #ridingdonkeysarenoteasy

Reenacting the suffering Christ endured on our behalf brought me face to face with the harsh reality of His Passion. 😔🩸 He endured the most intense and horrific capital punishment known to man for sins He didn't commit. In the face of such sorrow, all I can say is "Lord, I am sorry for putting you there. Help me to be better." 🥺🙏🏽 He willingly died for our sins and seeks only our love. Lord, show me how to share your love with others. ♥️🙏🏽 I am immensely grateful for the fruit of our conversation, thank you again to my dear friend Fr. Mike Schmitz. ♥️♥️ #lent #crucifixion #faith #helpmelord

I’m still reeling from Chosen Con 2026, what an amazing, action-packed 3 days!! 👊🏽♥️🫨 Thank you all so much again for your prayers, enthusiasm and support! I loved meeting so many of you during the meet and greets. I appreciate your continued prayers, they don’t go to waste. 🙏🏽❤️ I can’t say enough about my incredible fellow panelists and co-stars. 😍🥰 I hope you enjoyed all of the panels as much as I did. Our discussions were so fruitful and truly guided by the Holy Spirit. 🕊️❤️‍🔥 If you didn’t see us live, be sure to check out some of my convos and interviews on Youtube. 👀📸 #bts #chosencon2026 #getusedtodifferent

So my doppelgänger showed up “solo mio” on this @goodnewscruise I was speaking at during a karaoke session, and belted out this forgotten classic. 🎶🎤 Gotta say…not too shabby. A little tipsy 🥴🍸🍹, but not too shabby. 👍🏽 Sounds like his wife Donna keeps him on his toes, tho he didn’t seem to mind much. 🤔 Good guy that Neil. OH and then Matt Maher showed up?!! And later on Father Mike Schmitz?!! Craaaaazzzy nights!! 😱🤯😳🥳🤪🚢♥️✝️ #SoloMioMovie #GoodNewsCruise #DobieGrayDriftAway #Karaoke #GoodTimes

Nothing like seeing what REALLY goes on behind the scenes! 😂 Enjoy these bloopers from the “BeatitudZ” shoot with @hallowapp! Keeping a straight face while filming these was LEGIT IMPOSSIBLE. 👀🎬🤣 I had such a blast filming these and immersing myself in the foreign language that is Gen Z slang, even if I didn’t (and still don’t) understand most of it. 🫣😵‍💫🫨   Keeping a straight face was so hard, SOME people had to be kindly asked to “step out” (Taylor). 😶 👀😜    Lowkenuine 🥰 big up to the crew at Hallow helping put together this fire series before we kick off Pray40. 🔥👊🏽 As we get ready for Lent, join me in taking a social media break and meditate with the Beatitudes on Hallow today 🙏🏽✝️❤️ #bloopers #genzslang #feelingunc #noideawhatsomeofitmeans

“When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He began teaching them…” - Matthew 5:1 Ladies and gentlemen, I give you The BeatitudZs according to Gen Z 🤣📱✌🏽 We’ll never quite know what Jesus would have sounded like if He arrived in the 2020’s, but it might’ve sound a little something…like this… 😜🙏🏽 Gen Z has been cooking this year, filling up the jubilees and NCYC with peak attendance and boosting Bible sales.🫨📖📈 So- I wanted to give something back to the ‘chat’: 😉🙏🏽👊🏽 Z-peeps, you are the future of our Church and your witness can transform our culture. 😇✝️ Stay rooted in Scripture and the Sacraments, being careful not to let the deafening din of the world and its endless scroll drown out what truly matters. 🙏🏽❤️ Thank you to my friends at Hallow for helping put this whole series together. I hope you had as much fun watching as we did making these. 🤣🤣 We’ve played the game—now take the next step. Spend time praying with the Beatitudes on @hallowapp! 🙏🏽✝️😇 #hallow #scripture #genzslang #beatitudZ
