Quick update: my books are now available across a lot more retailers on Books2Read, including Barnes & Noble! Still waiting on a few like Google Play to clear, but everything else is up to date. Link in bio if you want to check them out. Happy Readings and Friday. #IndieAuthor #dougandersseries #Books2Read #chariothunter #WritingCommunity

It’s been 6 days since taking my series wide across Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books, and OverDrive. I know you’ve been clicking through, but if you haven't pulled the trigger yet, that’s on me—I haven't explained what the Doug Anders series actually is in a while! All 6 books were awarded an Amazon Editors' Pick for May 2026, but reading through 6 product descriptions is a headache. Here is the quick pitch: Doug Anders starts as an unemployed IT guy and ham radio operator who listens to his best friend get murdered live over the airwaves. Helms-deep in helplessness, his journey takes him from needing everyone to save him, to becoming the guy everyone relies on. In this video, I walk through where the plot came from starting with a real-life radio activation in a public park that sparked Silenced Key, and how the series grew from supernatural crime noir to high-stakes thrillers. 📲 Find your favorite reading platform on Books2Read via the link below / in bio! #DougAnders #HamRadio #TechnoThriller #IndieAuthor #booktok

The heavy armor rolls in—and the hunt begins. 💥 Get ready for an intense, high-stakes military sci-fi ride. Chariot Hunter is officially locked and loaded. Are you ready for the drop? #chariothunter #militaryscifi #scificommunity #booktrailer #indieauthor

First 1,000 points of the Khornate Chaos Knights escalation army is officially built and on the table! Between wrestling those tiny Bloodletter waist joints with a heavy dose of green stuff and buttoning up the Karnivore and Brigand chassis, it's been a massive workbench marathon. Next stop: waiting for those new Tone Pro paints to arrive and prepping for the December base-prepping blitz! #Warhammer40k #ChaosKnights #Khorne #MiniaturePainting #warhammercommunity

What pulled me down the rabbit hole into Konflikt '47 and the Axis forces wasn't just the mechanics. It was the pure, unadulterated potential for a terrifying, grimdark "Monster-Mash" narrative. Between the towering, canopy-camouflaged Wotan Panzermech leading the charge and the blood-spattered Totenkorps shambling closely in its shadow, this army is built for absolute cinematic dread. Freehanding that forest canopy and weathering down the field markings brought the whole dark vision to life. I chose the Axis because of the awesome walkers, Zombies, Werewolves, and other Weird War 2 stuff. Big departure from 40k. #Konflikt47 #Wargaming #MiniaturePainting #Grimdark #TabletopHorror

Chivalry is dead. 😈 The 500-point core for my escalation league is fully assembled and ready: one Knight Desecrator and two War Dog Brigands (though I can drop a Brigand down to 485 if the league demands a strict 500-point cap). Until January, they’ll be waiting on the shelf to be painted and let loose! #ChaosKnights #Warhammer40k #EscalationLeague #MiniaturePainting #Grimdark"

heavy metal and undead shock troops! Skipping the endless plastic sprues for some gorgeous Warlord Games casts and pre-assembled Totenkorps. Next up: magnets and priming! ⚙️ 🧟‍♂️ #Konflikt47 #WarlordGames #TabletopWargaming #MiniaturePainting #dieselpunk

The final touches are dry and the Waaagh! is officially crossed off the list. 169 models later: from the heavy armor and beast-hunting Death Snaggas down to the flight-stand-fixed Dakkajet and Stormboy. This massive green tide is officially battle-ready. Time to pack the cases and set our sights on a terrifying new pivot for January. Wrapping up the final touches on the 169-model Ork army with the Dakkajet and Stormboyz ready for paint tomorrow! 🐗✈️ We're diving into the details behind the "Death Snaggas" 2,000pt list, planning for upcoming learning games, and looking ahead to our next big project: an anti-Imperium Chaos Knights and Daemons army for the local escalation league. Plus, the eternal question—Skarbrand or a standard Bloodthirster for the 3,000pt cap? Let me know your thoughts in the comments! #Warhammer40k #Orks #ChaosKnights #WarhammerCommunity #miniaturepainting

1,000 days. It's been crazy keeping up. Through groggy mornings, late nights, I never missed a single day. I started with a year of French then German and a smattering of other languages such as refreshing my Spanish and learning Gaelic. Also, if you could check out the links in the bio for my author works, it would be greatly appreciated.

Snaggas 2,000pt force! 🐗⚙️ Fusing heavy mechanized ironwork with raw beast-hunting aggression. Turn the volume up for Exodus! 🤘 #Warhammer40k #40k #Orks #Waaagh #miniaturepainting

hours of sleep after the Pennywise show last night, but today is officially the big day: my catalog is live everywhere! All six books in the Doug Anders thriller series—plus my sci-fi novel Chariot Hunter—are now available across non-Amazon storefronts thanks to Draft2Digital. If you read on Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play, or borrow through OverDrive, you can grab your copy right now on your favorite platform. Moving away from Amazon exclusivity means regaining control and making sure these stories are accessible wherever you prefer to read. 📲 Check out the Books2Read link below / in bio to pick your platform: https://tr.ee/S8N2kZKpp1 Thanks for all the support, and have a great day! 🙌 #WideReleaseDay #IndieAuthor #DougAnders #ThrillerBooks #draft2digital

Cleared the desk just in time. 20 Kommandos, 2 Bomb Squigs, a Grot crew, the Wazbom Blastajet, and a full 6-man Warbiker mob locked, loaded, and table-ready. Time to let the Agrax dry and hit the road! 💥💥 WAAAGH #Orks40k #DreadMob #Warhammer40k #PaintingWarhammer #orkkomandos

The off-season updates keep rolling in because the structural cracks in U.S. rugby aren't slowing down. From California Legion hiring a part-time coach on leave from Japan, to the Free Jacks' direct-response email push transitioning into social media posts, the operational stress is evident. But the real story is the institutional hierarchy: how USA Rugby’s control over MLR and its ongoing legal battles could trigger a domino effect impacting everything through the 2031 World Cup. Watching the impact in real-time for Last Ride. 🏉☄️ #MajorLeagueRugby #USARugby #FreeJacks #GonzoJournalism #RugbyUnion

WAAAGH! 🛠️ Added some serious heavy armor to the force. The Big Mek’s new ride is ready to unleash maximum dakka, the Battlewagon is loaded for the charge, and the Kommandos are lurking in the background prepping for a sneak attack! 🟢🥷 #Warhammer40k #Orks40k #OrkKommandos #MiniaturePainting #Waaagh

124 models down, 75% of the total WAAAGH! completed! 🟢 Ghazghkull is leading the charge while the rest of the horde gets dried and prepped. Only 9 models left on the physical desk before we wait on the final shipment! #Warhammer40k #Orks #WAAAGH #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer

Taking a quick break from painting miniatures to share some huge news: in one week (October 1st), my entire catalog is going WIDE! 🚀 All six books in the Doug Anders thriller series—Silenced Key, Insider Threat, Anders the Bloodaxe, Covenant Violations, Brood of Vipers, and Penalty Shot—plus my June standalone sci-fi novel, Chariot Hunter, will be available across non-Amazon platforms thanks to Draft2Digital. If you read on Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Google Play, Apple Books, or borrow through OverDrive, you’ll be able to grab them directly from your favorite store. Moving away from exclusivity was an easy choice after seeing how independent authors get squeezed. Supporting indie creators directly and choosing where you buy makes a massive difference. 📲 Find your preferred platform on my Books2Read page: https://tr.ee/S8N2kZKpp1 Thanks as always for supporting independent fiction! 🙌 #IndieAuthor #DougAnders #WideAuthor #ThrillerBooks #draft2digital

The Waaagh! doesn’t stop, even if the Big Boss needs a breather. 🛠️💥 Got the entire weekly batch primed and drying on the tray! We've got Boss Snikrot, a Mob of Nobz, Stormboyz, Gretchin, Beast Snagga Boyz, and a fresh WYSIWYG squad of Tankbustas with their Bomb Squigs all prepped and ready for paint. Sitting right beside the horde is the big man himself—Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka, the Prophet of the Waaagh!, along with his trusty banner-bearer Makari. Keeping Ghaz in sub-assemblies for now so I can get into all that mechanical detail properly when the brushes come out. I’ve been battling a nasty head cold, cough, and zero energy over the last couple of days, so the pace has slowed down a bit while I rest up and bounce back. But getting this massive sea of black plastic primed is a huge win for the week. Time to take a break, let everything cure, and get ready for color! #Orks #Warhammer40k #GhazghkullThraka #WIP #miniaturepainting

The off-season was supposed to be quiet, but U.S. rugby is hitting a critical tipping point. From The Irish Times declaring the American market a dead end, to California Legion head coach Stephen Hoiles uprooting his family to take an assistant role back in Australia, to the Free Jacks aggressively hunting for early cash with manufactured deadlines—the floor isn't just cracking. It’s caving in. Here is a quick Last Ride update on the real-time collapse of MLR and USA Rugby. 🏉💥 #MajorLeagueRugby #USARugby #FreeJacks #RugbyUnion #gonzojournalism

Making steady progress on the Kult of Speed! 40% of the army is painted and off the desk after wrapping up these four today. The bright red chassis and yellow/white dags are really bringing this 137-model WAAAGH! to life on the tabletop. #KultOfSpeed #Orks40k #Warhammer40k #PaintingWarhammer #Waaagh

We are officially TWO WEEKS OUT. ⏳ October 1st is launch day. Every book, available everywhere you read. Stay tuned—links coming soon! #BookTok #IndieAuthor #2WeeksOut #indieauthorlife

As an author who's painted himself into a corner a few times while writing, I can tell you Reacher Season 4 shows all the warning signs of a writer's room without a plan. From Reacher taking a backseat in his own show to non-stop twists with no payoff, this season was a major letdown. Here’s my take on where it went off the rails—and why the upcoming Neely spinoff has me worried. 🔗 Link in bio to check out my Doug Anders thriller series! #Reacher #ReacherSeason4 #TVReview #ThrillerWriter #booktok

Dat's a whole lot of dakka from above! 6 Deffkoptas down, washed, and ready to bring the WAAAGH! to the tabletop. 🚁💥 #Orks #Warhammer40k #PaintingWarhammer #OrkArmy #deffkoptas

Productive weekend push! 21 models painted, 6 Deffkoptas built and waiting on tomorrow’s prime window. That post-wash stripe detail makes all the difference for the WAAAGH! 💥⚙️ #Warhammer40k #orks40k #PaintingWarhammer #Waaagh

Walked out of a movie for the first time in my life today. Tony (2026) is an unbelievably inaccurate, insufferable piece of sh*t that p*sses on Anthony Bourdain’s grave. Instead of capturing the brutal kitchen hierarchy, the pirate-crew camaraderie, and the intense drive that Bourdain actually wrote about in Kitchen Confidential, Matt Johnson and his writers scrapped reality to make a soft, generic coming-of-age romance nobody asked for. Bourdain didn't head to Cape Cod chasing a high school crush; he went to get down in the trenches with real cooks. They stripped out his culinary roots and turned an intense, sharp guy into a timid, sniveling rabbit. Save your money. Skip this disaster and go listen to Anthony read Kitchen Confidential on Audible instead. It’s cheaper and actually honors the real story. #Tony2026 #KitchenConfidential #AnthonyBourdain #MovieReview #FilmRant

Fresh off the paint station and ready to Waaagh! Got the Deffkilla Wartrike, Squighog Boyz, Mek, and Bomb Squig all painted up and ready for the tabletop just in time. #Warhammer40k #Orks40k #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #KultOfSpeed

Calling it a night on the build desk! Rain ruined prime day, but got the Deffkilla Wartrike, Squighog Boyz, and infantry assembled and prepped. That Wartrike kit was an absolute headache and tests your sanity, but if it looks a bit rough, that just means the Mek built it with extra attitude. Priming as soon as the weather clears up! 🛠️🌧️💥 #Warhammer40k #Orks #Waaagh #KultOfSpeed #hobbyprogress

Big progress at the hobby desk tonight! Got the Gretchin Mob and Runtherd wrapped up, the Warboss in Mega Armour painted, and fresh off the assembly line: a Deff Dread and Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun. Time to get priming! 🛠️💥 #Warhammer40k #Orks40k #Orks #PaintingWarhammer #warhammercommunity

Time to bring out the WAAAGH! Now for something a bit Orkier—and definitely Morkier. 🛠️⚙️ Red paint is already going on because everyone knows red ones go faster #Orks #Warhammer40k #PaintingWarhammer #WAAAGH #EvilSunz
