My first Stray Kids edit! @Meagan Lane has been trying to convince me to love these boys for a year now. I have been supportive of her new “hobby” but stayed neutral. However she got me with Minsung edits! Eight years of pining and forbidden love? Sign me up! Now here I am wearing Han Quokka hats and tucking in my Leebit keychain so he doesn’t get dirty.

I promise I wasn’t nearly as cool as I looked.

Between the kid inside the house and the barn cat outside the house, I am beginning to think I’m made of Velcro. So much for getting some peace and alone time on my 15 minute walk.

Our first week using History Quest: Ancient Times from Pandia Press. We are really loving this curriculum so far. This is his first introduction to history and we’ve had some fun conversations comparing and contrasting how kids lived during Paleolithic times versus today. They didn’t have tvs, but they still enjoyed sitting on their grandpa’s lap listening to stories. Just like kids today. #homeschool #kindergarten #secular #historyquest #pandiapress #ancienthistory

Jake and I had a date day to visit the Alberto Giacometti collection on display at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. It was really interesting and informative. I always enjoy reading about people’s lives and passions. Seeing the progression of his work through his lifetime and how it was impacted by major historical events. We don’t get nights away often. So this was such a treat. And he was a good sport about letting me take videos.

Bashy and I’s lunch today! I was still struggling so hard with postpartum/pandemic/life in general depression last year. Implimenting this rule actually really helped me get through a particularly rough patch. We ate this for like two weeks straight. We don’t eat it very often anymore. But when we do, it reminds me that it’s important to add whimsy to our lives. And whimsy doesn’t have to cost any extra money.

I’ve struggled with this my whole life, so I’m putting myself out there. I look horrible in pastels especially pale pinks and yellows. I KNOW I look good in greens and blues. As much as I would love mustard to work it just doesn’t. I look best in gold over silver as silver makes my skin look sickly. I’ve never been able to get a nude nailpolish to look right. And my cheeks blush the color of a ripe peach. I’m trying to be more intentional in my wardrobe. Is there such a thing as a Autumn/Winter combo?
