Anyone would choose that! I can’t speak for all ambulatory wheelchair users, but in my case when I choose to use the wheelchair it’s because the other option is staying home. What is the best way to respond to these people? 🤔 Clearly this was a joke, I don’t bring my imaging with me everywhere 😂 I always try to respond with kindness when people are very confused by the fact that I still use a wheelchair, despite being able to walk. Most people genuinely don’t know much about disability and are more than willing to listen. Are you team wheelies? Personally I love wheelies, for a wheelchair user, they’re incredibly useful! A real tool to achieve independence, which matters a lot to me, as someone with a disability. Of course if it’s too dangerous for medical reasons you shouldn’t do them! But if it’s something you can do, I encourage everyone to try to learn. They really make a difference.
