16 years ago today an angel was born into this earth, 14 years 3 months and 24 days later I got to meet this angel. From all the people on this earth I actually got to meet you. And that is something I’ll never stop thanking god for. We were meant to meet and I know it. You are my soulmate best friend and I love you to pieces. she was just a baby omgg CUT THE CAMERAS. 6 years old. And her whole childhood was wasted to a woman who only wanted her to be her sister. She had the constant pressure on her to keep up with girls who are partially 7 years older than her. All the time constantly having to prove that she could be as good as maddie when all she wanted was to be herself. Abby didn’t see her potential bc she kept giving her the same solo with different poses, instead of giving her lyrical, tap, or hip hop dances when the time she did a lyrical dance (which was also her sister’s old dance just to show her that she will never be anything more then maddies sister) she got second place over Chloe who was doing contemporary which she has done basically her whole live. But that was still not enough for Abby. And as if that wasn’t enough comparison for a 9 year old, she brought in Asia whos whole purpose on the show was to scare kenzie, which of course it did because Abby kept shoving it in her face that Asia was better than her and that she was getting replaced. Abby did all she could to make sure that both Asia and maddie always beat Mackenzie bc Asias choreography was on such a different level than mackenzies. And Abby gave maddie a tap solo (which she’s done since she was 4) against Mackenzies lyrical solo(that was her first lyrical solo ever) and Mackenzie still got second. Not to mention when Abby finally did give her good choreography she beat her sister and everyone else. Mackenzie was good in every style and abby looked over that so quickly and didn’t give her any credit for it at all. She gave her acro and then wined that she wasn’t mature enough and that maddie did all these meaningful dances at her age. Well you’re the teacher Abby, you’re the one who assignes solos. Give her a meaningful one then. She only ever learned how to do cute faces which is a big part of the reason why she wasn’t the best at facial expressions. The way Abby treated her in her last few weeks on the team is actually sickening. She didn’t want to give her a hip hop solo even though she knew she was one of the best hip hoppers on the team. And then gave her an absolutely meaningless last solo that was just like any other, and just threw it out there to be forgotten. The only reason people actually remember this dance is because it was her last solo. She didn’t say anything nice to her the last time they ever spoke and that says a lot about how abby actually treated her.
