October is always a month that makes me realize how far we’ve come in our infertility struggles. We transferred both embryos that became our babies in October. I spent the last day before we transferred Luna at the pumpkin patch. I celebrated her sticking and becoming a mom the next year. Last year we filmed our announcement video for wilder at the pumpkin patch after a second successful transfer. Now here we are a family of 4. After thinking there was a possibility where my life would and could never look like this, seeing these moments has me in my feels. Moms of multiples- What’s your favorite way to get quality one on one time with your first born?! Baking during one of Wilder’s naps has been one of Luna and I’s favorite things to do for one on one time. Since I’m dairy free for wilder, I’ve been loving trying out all the @Simple Mills cakes and brownies and breads since they’re dairy free! This time we made a vanilla cake and Luna picked sprinkle frosting for the top (I just learned storebought frosting has no dairy!)! Bake the cake, include them. Let them lick the spoon and get messy. You were puppy number 9 and I broke open your little puppy sack and watched you take your first breaths and today, I watched you take your last. We watched each other grow, discover and fall in love with life. Seeing the world through your kids eyes, feels like seeing it for the first time all over again and it has to be one of the greatest parts of motherhood. We’ve been to the zoo a million times since Luna has been born. Today was the first time we’ve been in a while and it felt like she was seeing the zoo for the first time all over again. She was calling out for the animals, asking to pet them, in awe over them being playful. She picked out a stuffie- a possum, which if you know Lu, you get it.
