September may have been the rainiest month this year, but it was still full of sunny moments.🌞

A few final moments from the end of August.☀️ #monthlyfavs #augustfavorites #august #monthlyfavorites

First half of August was full of sunset walks, delicious meals, and an occasional Lamp Chop. #august #augustfavorites #monthlyfavorites

A few of my favorite moments from July featuring some cool beans.🫛 #julyfavs #julyfavorites #monthlyfavorites

Last half of June flew by, but I still managed to take a few pics of some of my favorite moments.💛 #favorites #junefavs

There have been so many little moments of joy that happened in June that I wanted to share.💛 #june

Gardening is a labor of love and I’m so grateful to have a space where I can nourish my body and soul.💛 #garden #gardening #containergarden #smallgarden

If you are looking for an easy, resilient, and beautiful plant to grow, I would definitely reccomend chamomile. This is my 3rd year growing it and it grows like a weed even in the most damp or dry of weather. It also smells amazing and I’ve dried them to make some fresh tea with it as well. #chamomile #gardening #easygardening #chamomileflowers

A cute girl’s weekend spent in Des Moines, Iowa that was filled with plenty of good eats, iced lattes, grocery store runs, thrifting and vintage shopping, a farmer’s market, and quality time with some of my favorite people (and dog).💛 @Clarissa @hann @ashika #girlsweekend #dsmgirl #desmoinesiowa

Replying to @its.selene21 I love my garden so much. It brings me so much peace and love and happiness. I definitely went above and beyond what I did last year, but it’s been so worth all the time and effort. Also, I definitely reccomend looking up companion planting if you are low on space because it does help a lot! 💛 #garden #companionplanting #gardening #urbangarden #easygarden

My harvests are getting bigger every week and I’m so grateful for that. My lettuce and basil has been thriving in the rainy weather and I’m going to make some fresh pesto tonight for dinner. And I waited as long as I could for my radishes and I’m so glad I did because they looked so cute!🫜 #garden #harvestwithme #gardening #containergarden #springgarden

I made some homemade vanilla syrup last weekend and ran out, so I had to improvise with some raspberry jam I had in the fridge. I just scooped a few spoonfuls of the jam into my cup, pour a bit of warm water, mixed it, and it worked extremely well for an easy syrup. I also love raspberry-flavored anything, but I’m still shocked there is no raspberry emoji…🍓 #latte #jamlatte #raspberrylatte #latterecipe

I had a busy last two days and wanted to spend some quality time thrifting. I visited an antique shop, that is also a greenhouse up in Ames, Iowa that I’ve been to many times and found a few goodies.💛 #thrifting #antiquestore #greenhouse #antiquestorefinds

I planted catnip when I did my winter sow in January, and oh my goodness, has it grown since then! I’ve been trying to prune it back every other week and it just keeps growing back more and more. I’m so grateful for the abundance and yes, I will be making homemade catnip for Christmas gifts this year.😂 #catnip #gardening #gardentok #gardenproject #planttips

This is only a 1 month difference! I DIYed this vertical garden planter at the beginning of May and planted my seeds and saplings that same weekend. I’ve been able to harvest so many of the herbs and microgreens already and I’m so grateful to have my little garden of joy. It’s just incredible how nature works sometimes because I can’t wait to see the difference in another month.💛 #garden #containergarden #smallgarden #gardenproject

If there was one recipe that many people have been asking me for almost every week, it’s been my Mediterranean dense bean salad. It’s one of my favorite meals to prep because it’s so easy, quick, fresh, filling, and I can change the ingredients pretty quickly if I don’t have something. It’s a long video, so I hope you enjoy!💛 #densebeansalad #dbs #mealprep #easymealprep #mealprepideas

I wanted to add a little trash bag to my new car, and of course, I had to DIY or sew one. It didn’t take too long to sew this trash bag up as it was mainly rectangles, and I was able to use a pillowcase that I had thrifted. Such an easy afternoon sewing project! #sewingproject #easysewing #easysewingproject

I try to harvest my garden once a week to help encourage new growth, especially for certain plants, like my herbs. My herbs have been thriving lately and it’s been amazing not having to spend a couple dollars on a small pack on basil, or dill, or even parsley. I was so surprised to see how well my parsley has been growing and ended up with a nice bundle today! #garden #containergarden #smallgarden #smallgardenideas #herbgarden

This is my first year growing lemon balm and they have been growing so well! With that, I really wanted to make something out of the lemon balm leaves and saw many people recommend them in both hot and cold drinks. I decided to make this refreshing infused water with the leaves, lemon slices, and honey. It was so simple and such a fun drink to have during the summer season.✨ #lemonbalm #summerdrink #infusedwater

This garden has brought me so much joy in the past few weeks and I couldn’t be more grateful. I love seeing all the new sprouts and blooms every day. It’s provided me so much time to reflect on my day, and really appreciate all that life has to offer. Even if you don’t have a lot of space, I would definitely think about creating your small sanctuary.💛 #gardening #garden #gardeningforbeginners

I started collecting a few trinkets to put in my garden last year, and found a few in the winter, and just picked up a few more. They’re so cute and bring me so much joy.💛 ✨life is short, add some whimsy✨ #garden #gardenproject #gardentok

My best friend, Hannah (@hann) and I send back snail mail to each other and I wanted to share the most recent one. I’ve had a few people ask what to put in snail mail, and honestly, there are no rules! I just love including as many bits and pieces as I can fit into an envelope and of course, little messages to keep in touch.💛 #snailmail #snailmailideas #snailmailclub

What I brought my breakfast and lunch today!✨ #mealprep #mealprepideas #lunchideas

It may not seem like much, but I was so excited to harvest a few of my plants today! I mainly harvested my herbs since many of them have been thriving recently and I want to make sure they are constantly being trimmed and pruned to stay fresh. It’s also bee exciting to see new sprouts almost every day and I’m hoping to see more with this rainy weather happening for the next few days.💛 #garden #containergarden #containergardening #smallgarden

I made this raspberry & hibiscus syrup last weekend and have been loving it for my morning lattes. I also had a few raspberries left and thought I could make a quick “cold foam”. It kinda worked, but not really. Still tastes good though!✨ #latterecipe #lattesyrup #raspberrylatte #lattes

I went to the Downtown Des Moines Farmer’s Market this morning and had the best time. I was on a mission to find a few saplings to grow because a few of my seedlings did not do well. I also picked up a few random vegetables and a beautiful art print that I’m so excited to hang up in my living room!🪴 #farmersmarket #desmoinesfarmersmarket #shoplocal #supportlocal

I went to Lush after work because I needed to return 2 containers and of course, had to browse the store for my next scent.🍋 I bought the Squeeze the Day shower gel, the Rub Rub Rub body scrub, and the Don’t Look At Me face mask. I love how they all smelled together and I’m so excited for my everything shower tonight.💙 @LUSH #lush #lushcommunity #lushproducts
