I love disco elysium because the personal impact it had on me was so devastating, i feel as though i’ve struggled with ‘depression’ for a majority of my life, i’ve never truly felt fulfilled and i’ve never wanted something greater than what i have, i’ve always felt like a secondhand option, someone who’s been written into the margin and forgotten about. The message the game delivers resonates with my feelings so much. I’ve never been an addict but i’ve felt so broken for years i hate giving sob stories and i hate being sorry but i’ve always felt that way and the fact that disco elysium implements these elements is just had such a big impact on me. Maybe by an objective standpoint disco elysium isn’t that great, but from what i see, it’s all i ever needed to hear and see.
