POV: You’re a primary school teacher and assistant headteacher who spends your days in school… and now you’re spending your own time visiting schools to decide where your little boy will start Reception next year 🥹🤍 There’s something so surreal about switching from teacher mode to mum mode when it comes to your own child’s education! I spend my days thinking about EYFS, Year 1 transition, school readiness and what makes a great learning environment, but suddenly, when it’s your own child, the decision feels so much bigger. 🥹 As a teacher, I know what I look for in a school. As a mum, I’m thinking about where he’ll feel safe, happy, make friends, build confidence and be excited to learn. And now I’m the one walking around EYFS classrooms on open days, asking questions and imagining my little boy in a Reception classroom. When did he get big enough for this?! 😭 Any other teacher mums choosing a primary school for their own children? Does being a teacher make the decision easier… or SO much harder? 👇🏼 #TeacherTok #TeacherMum #EYFS #ReceptionClass #SchoolOpenDay

From being the little girl in the school photo to becoming a primary school teacher and now an assistant headteacher, education has been part of my life since 2000. It’s been a journey full of learning, growing, challenges, long days, proud moments and more than a few changes along the way. But if I could go back and tell that little girl where she’d end up, I think she’d be pretty proud. 🥹❤️ Sometimes you just need to turn up the brightness, switch things to black and white, and remember where it all began. ✨ Here’s to a career that started when I was 4 and a love for education that’s still going strong. 🍎 Are you doing the job you dreamed of as a child, or did life take you in a completely different direction? 👇 #TeacherTok #PrimaryTeacher #TeacherLife #TeachingJourney #AssistantHeadteacher

Hot take, but I stand by it. 🚨 Teacher TikTok needs to have a serious conversation about safeguarding. Some teacher content creators have built HUGE followings, and I genuinely believe that having children featured in their content is part of what makes those accounts so popular. But we need to ask ourselves: is growing a social media following worth the risk of making children identifiable online? Your class are not your content. Their faces, voices, names, work containing personal information and other identifiable details should not be used to grow your personal social media account. Being a teacher content creator does not make this any less of a safeguarding concern. And before anyone says you can’t make teacher content without showing children… YES, YOU CAN. 🙌🏼 You can share teaching tips, classroom organisation, continuous provision ideas, phonics activities, maths resources, lesson inspiration, advice for ECTs and support for the wider TeacherTok community without putting children in your videos or making them identifiable. Film your resources. Show your classroom set-ups. Share your expertise. Talk about your experiences. Help other teachers. Build your community. You do not need to show the children you teach to prove you’re a good teacher or a valuable teacher creator. Children cannot meaningfully understand the long-term implications of having their image or voice shared with thousands of strangers online. They deserve privacy, dignity and safeguarding, regardless of how many views a video might get. And parental permission, where obtained, does not automatically make every post appropriate or remove our professional safeguarding responsibilities. Our job is to protect children. Our personal social media accounts should never come before that responsibility. I said what I said. 👏🏼 What are your thoughts on safeguarding and teacher content creation? Let’s have a respectful conversation. #TeacherTok #TeacherSafeguarding #TeacherContentCreator #PrimaryTeacher #OnlineSafety

🏹 May the odds be ever in your favour, fellow teachers! 😂✌️ To everyone finishing their 8th week of Autumn 1 while I’m enjoying the FIRST of our TWO WEEKS of October half term… I salute you. 🫡 And before anyone comes for us, yes, we know we get two weeks off in October instead of one… but that’s because we work later into the summer term to make up for it! 😭😂 The school calendar giveth, and the school calendar taketh away. Eight weeks of phonics, marking, planning, assessments, meetings, classroom displays, endless to-do lists and approximately 472 things that need doing before the children come back. You deserve that break! 🫶🏼 Whether you’re already on half term, counting down the hours until you can close your laptop, or still battling through that final week… may your coffee be strong, your inbox be quiet and your odds of surviving the last day be ever in your favour. 😂 💬 Teachers, when does your October half term start? Are you team one week or team two weeks? 🔖 Save this for your teacher friends who need a little Hunger Games solidarity and share it with a colleague who is fighting for their life this half term! #TeacherTok #TeacherLife #OctoberHalfTerm #PrimaryTeacher #TeacherHumour

POV: Your teacher brain is trying to process every single job that needs jobbing before half term 🫠💻 The to-do list is LONG, the days are getting shorter, and somehow there are still approximately 472 things to do before we can break up for half term! 🍂😂 From lesson planning, marking and assessment to classroom preparation, updating resources, sorting displays and all the little jobs that magically appear throughout the school day… the teacher workload never seems to end! And when you’re an assistant headteacher as well as a classroom teacher, your brain has approximately 17 tabs open at once, all playing different music. 🫣 Just trying to get everything ticked off so I can actually enjoy the half-term break without mentally writing a to-do list every five minutes! Teachers, please tell me I’m not the only one whose brain looks like this in the run-up to half term! 😂👇 💾 Save this for the next time your teacher to-do list feels never-ending. 📲 Share it with a teacher who is counting down the days! ➕ Follow for relatable teacher life, primary classroom content and assistant headteacher life. #TeacherTok #TeacherLife #PrimaryTeacher #TeacherWorkload #HalfTerm

AD|Being an assistant headteacher AND having whole-class responsibility means my to-do list never seems to end… 🫠📚 Between teaching, leading teaching and learning, planning lessons and creating resources, finding that work-life balance can feel like a challenge! That’s why I’m so excited about the new @Teachmate slideshow generator! ✨ Instead of spending ages putting lesson slides together, I can use this clever AI teaching tool to save valuable planning time and make creating classroom resources that little bit easier. And the best part? ⬇️ More time to focus on the things that matter most in school, less time working late into the evening, and more evenings and weekends spent with my family. ❤️ Because being a teacher and school leader shouldn’t mean sacrificing all your time outside of school! If you’re a primary teacher, assistant headteacher, or school leader looking for ways to make your workload more manageable, this is definitely a tool worth exploring. 👀 Have you tried Teachmate’s slideshow generator yet? 📚🐦 The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch | Year 1 Continuous Provision 🌊🛟 Looking for story-linked continuous provision ideas for Year 1? This week, our provision is inspired by The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch by Ronda and David Armitage, with small world, reading and writing enhancements to bring the story to life! 📖✨ 🌊 Small world provision: Creating our very own seaside scene with blue fabric, sea creatures and story props to encourage imaginative play, oral storytelling and retelling the events of the story. 📸 Story sequencing: I’ve added pictures from the story to a washing line, inspired by the line Mrs Grinling uses to send Mr Grinling his lunch! The children can put the pictures in the correct order, helping them develop their understanding of sequencing, story structure and key events. 🛒 Writing enhancement: Our shopping list includes pictures of the food as prompts, supporting children to recognise the items, write labels and have a go at writing their own shopping lists. 🥪 Creative writing challenge: Can you design a lunch for Mr Grinling that the seagulls WON’T want to steal? The children can use their imagination to design a seagull-proof lunchbox, drawing and describing what they would put inside. 📚 Reading corner: Keeping the storybook available encourages children to revisit the text independently, become familiar with the characters and language, and retell the story in their own words. I love how one familiar story can inspire so many opportunities for talk, storytelling, early writing, sequencing and imaginative play without every activity needing to be a formal written task! 💙 💾 Save this for your next Year 1 continuous provision refresh, and share it with a teacher looking for story-linked provision ideas! #Year1 #ContinuousProvision #TheLighthouseKeepersLunch #PrimaryTeacher #LiteracyProvision

👗 A WEEK OF TEACHER OUTFITS | Primary teacher edition 🍎✨ Another week of teacher outfit of the days, and what a week it’s been! From PE kit Monday to making it to the last day of half term on Friday… we’ve earned that break! 😂☕️ 🏃♀️ Monday: PE day, which means I actually get to wear my PE kit to work! Easily one of the perks of being a primary school teacher. 📚 Tuesday: A teaching day, back to the usual classroom routines, lessons and everything that comes with teaching Year 1! 💼 Wednesday: My senior leader / assistant headteacher day out of class. And before anyone thinks that means an easier day… please don’t be fooled! I was actually very poorly on Wednesday, so getting through the day was an achievement in itself. 🤒 🍂 Thursday: Back to teaching Year 1, with the added excitement of welcoming parents and carers into school to watch our Harvest Assembly. Such a lovely opportunity for the children to share what they’ve been working on! 🎉 Friday: Another teaching day and, most importantly, THE LAST DAY OF HALF TERM! The outfits were outfit-ing, the week was week-ing, and the countdown to a well-earned break was ON. 🙌 Being a primary school teacher and assistant headteacher means no two days ever look quite the same. One day it’s PE kit, the next it’s teaching, leadership responsibilities, assemblies and trying to keep going when you feel rubbish! Now tell me… which day’s outfit was your favourite? 👀👇 💾 Save this for your next teacher outfit inspiration and share it with a teacher who is counting down to half term just as much as you are! #TeacherOutfits #TeacherOOTD #PrimaryTeacher #Year1Teacher #TeacherLife

Come along for a little look at a busy day in the life of a Year 1 teacher and Assistant Headteacher! ✨ From Read Write Inc phonics and Talk for Writing to practical maths, history, continuous provision and all the behind-the-scenes leadership jobs that come with working in primary education… there’s always something happening! 📖 Read Write Inc phonics: We started the day with our Green Group phonics session, practising our sounds, blending and reading as we continue to build confident, fluent readers. ✏️ Writing – Talk for Writing: The children text-mapped their plans ready for their hot write (also known as the Big Write or independent write!). I absolutely love seeing children take ownership of their ideas, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with when they put their plans into action! 🧥 Break duty: If you need me, I’ll be the one hiding inside the biggest coat I own! The wind and freezing temperatures have officially arrived, and supervising the playground requires a whole new level of winter preparation. 😂 🔟 Year 1 maths: We explored number bonds to 10 using ten frames and double-sided counters as our chosen maths manipulatives. Making the numbers visible and physically moving the counters helps children explore different combinations that make 10 and develop a deeper understanding of number. 🍽️ Lunchtime duties: Lunch duty meant patrolling the corridors, supporting the children and helping everything run smoothly. A very different kind of teaching, but such an important part of the school day! 🔢 Maths fluency: Is it equal or is it not? We used subitising to recognise quantities and think carefully about whether groups represented equal amounts. Developing that number sense is so important in KS1 maths! 📚 Talk for Reading: We explored The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch, thinking about what we liked and disliked about the story. I love giving children opportunities to share their opinions, explain their thinking and build their confidence when talking about books. 🏛️ History: We compared Victorian times with modern times, but we made our learning practical with HUMAN Venn diagrams! The children physically became part of the activity, helping them explore similarities and differences in a much more hands-on way. 🧩 Continuous provision: We made time for independent learning, giving the children opportunities to revisit their learning, practise skills and explore activities independently. There is so much value in seeing what children can apply when they have the space to make their own choices. 🚜 Harvest assembly practice: Our rehearsal included a fluffy cauliflower, a big red combine harvester and The Enormous Turnip! Primary school really does involve the most wonderfully random combination of things, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🌾 💻 And finally… home time! Well, sort of. I swapped my school clothes for my comfies and finished off some SLT business from home. Because being an Assistant Headteacher means the to-do list doesn’t always end when the school day does! Teaching, learning, leading, supporting and trying to keep warm on the playground… just another day in primary education! ❤️ SAVE this post if you love seeing a real day in the life of a primary school teacher, and SHARE it with a teacher who will recognise at least five of these daily jobs! 👇 Follow for more Year 1 teaching ideas, practical KS1 maths, phonics, continuous provision and an honest look at life as an Assistant Headteacher leading teaching and learning. #Year1Teacher #PrimaryTeacher #TeacherTok #KS1Teaching #AssistantHeadteacher

🕷️ Halloween maths continuous provision in Year 1! 🎃🕸️ Looking for a fun Year 1 maths continuous provision idea for Halloween? This spider-themed addition activity is a simple way to make practising addition within 20 hands-on, practical and fun! 🕷️ I created a spiderweb tuff tray with cute spider faces, each showing an addition calculation. The children had to solve the calculation, then use colourful pipe cleaners to give each spider the correct number of legs to match the answer! 🕸️ ✨ What the children were practising: 🕷️ Adding two numbers together 🕷️ Developing addition fluency 🕷️ Counting accurately and checking answers 🕷️ Representing numbers using concrete resources I love continuous provision activities that give children the opportunity to practise key maths skills independently while having fun. Plus, the Halloween theme makes it perfect for an October classroom enhancement! 🎃 💾 Save this idea for your Halloween maths planning! 📲 Share this with a Year 1 teacher who would love an easy, hands-on Halloween maths activity for their classroom! 🎨 PRIMARY COLOUR MIXING IN YEAR 1 🎨 | Continuous provision idea for art! Looking for a simple Year 1 art continuous provision activity that helps children revisit their learning and show what they know? 🌈 After teaching the children how to mix primary colours to create secondary colours, I wanted to give them an opportunity to practise their colour-mixing knowledge independently through continuous provision. ✨ How it works: 🎨 Children colour in the overlapping shapes using different primary colours. 🌈 They then look carefully at the intersections where the shapes overlap. 🖍️ Using their knowledge of colour mixing, they colour each intersection with the correct secondary colour. ❤️ Red + yellow = orange 💛 Yellow + blue = green 💙 Blue + red = purple It’s such a simple, low-prep activity that encourages children to recall previous learning, make connections and apply their understanding independently. I love activities like this because continuous provision isn’t just about keeping children busy — it’s about giving them opportunities to revisit, practise and apply what they’ve already been taught! 🙌 💾 SAVE this idea for your next Year 1 art lesson or continuous provision rotation! 📲 SHARE this with a teacher looking for easy, engaging art provision ideas. ➕ FOLLOW for more Year 1 content, continuous provision ideas and a behind-the-scenes look at life as a class-based assistant headteacher! #Year1 #PrimaryArt #ContinuousProvision #ColourMixing #PrimaryTeacher

Letter reversals? Try this simple b and d formation activity! ✏️ Letter reversals are SO common when children are learning to write, and b and d can be particularly tricky to remember. For this quick and easy Year 1 continuous provision idea, I drew lots of d’s all over the tuff tray and gave the children stickers to place onto the d’s where the letter had been formed correctly. It gives children a really simple way to spot the correct letter formation while reinforcing the direction they need to write the letter. 👀✏️ You could easily adapt this for b, p, q or any other letters your children are finding tricky! ✨ Quick to set up ✨ Minimal resources ✨ Great for continuous provision ✨ Supports letter formation and recognition ✨ Easy to adapt for EYFS or KS1 SAVE this idea for your next phonics or writing provision setup and SHARE it with a teacher who has children working on letter reversals! 💾➡️ Follow for more Year 1 ideas, continuous provision activities, phonics, writing provision and practical classroom ideas. #Year1Teacher #LetterFormation #LetterReversals #PhonicsActivities #ContinuousProvision

AD| A morning in the life of a Year 1 teacher & assistant headteacher… before the children even arrive 👩🏼🏫☕️ Traffic was an absolute NIGHTMARE this morning, so I had much less time than usual to get everything ready before the school day started 😅 So, it was straight into Year 1 morning prep mode… 📚 Pulled up my lesson slides — made using @Teachmate ✏️ Handed out the books for my phonics lesson so the children could get started straight away 🔤 Changed my Read Write Inc. phonics sounds and Green Words 🎨 Set up a brand new Year 1 continuous provision art area inspired by Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson 🧵 The children will be making their own paper dolls as part of our provision One of my favourite things about teaching Year 1 is finding ways to turn our books into hands-on, purposeful continuous provision that the children can independently explore. And as an assistant headteacher as well as a class teacher, mornings can feel like a race against the clock! 😂 There is always something else that needs doing before those little people walk through the door. 🏴☠️ PHONICS + WRITING CONTINUOUS PROVISION | YEAR 1 Turning phonics into a little treasure hunt! 🪙✨ For this Year 1 continuous provision activity, children have to: 🔎 Find the picture they need 🪙 Hunt through the “treasure” to find the correct sounds 🔤 Build the word using the sound stones ✏️ Segment and blend the word 📝 Then use it in a sentence and write it on their whiteboard! I love activities like this because the children are revisiting phonics skills while independently applying them to writing — rather than phonics and writing feeling like completely separate activities. You could easily adapt this for different abilities by changing the pictures, sounds or words, and adding picture prompts, word mats or sentence stems for children who need a little more support. Perfect for Year 1 phonics continuous provision, KS1 writing provision, phonics activities and independent literacy activities. 📚✨ 💾 SAVE this for your next phonics or writing provision setup! 📤 SHARE with a teacher who is always looking for new continuous provision ideas! ➕ Follow for more Year 1 classroom ideas, continuous provision and primary teacher content. #Year1Teacher #PhonicsActivities #ContinuousProvision #KS1Teacher #WritingActivities

POV: you’re a teacher… and suddenly you have to choose your own child’s school 😭 My son starts school next year, which means we’re officially at the EYFS open day, school tour and primary school application stage… and I have SO many questions. Do I send him to my school? On paper, it makes so much sense. I know the school, I know the staff, I know he would be happy there and the school run would actually fit around my job. No trying to drop him off at one school and get myself to another at the same time. 🙌 BUT… Then my teacher brain starts spiralling. 😂 Would my relationships with colleagues change because I’m now “the teacher whose child is in school”? Would he become “that teacher’s kid” rather than just being himself? And what happens when he wants a birthday party or a sleepover with a friend from school and suddenly my safeguarding brain is screaming RED FLAG 🚩 because I work with the children involved?! Or… do I send him somewhere completely separate and accept the logistical chaos of working in a school while your child is at school at exactly the same time? So I need to hear from you… 👩🏫 Teacher mums: what did you do? 🏫 Teachers who have taught a colleague’s child: what was your experience? 👶 Would you send your own child to your school? I genuinely want the real-life experiences — the good, the awkward and everything in between! Imagine being 5 and having someone whose job is literally to believe in you. 🥹❤️ Teaching Year 1 is so much more than phonics, maths, writing and learning routines. It’s helping little people find their confidence, discover what they’re capable of and feel proud of themselves along the way. Some days are loud. Some days are chaotic. Some days feel like you’ve repeated the same instruction 47 times 😂 But then you get the “LOOK WHAT I DID!” moment, the little smile when something finally clicks, or the child who suddenly believes they can do something they thought was too hard. And that’s the bit that makes it all worth it. 🥹 I hope every child who comes through my classroom leaves knowing that they are capable, valued and believed in. ❤️ If you’re a Year 1 teacher, primary teacher, EYFS teacher or trainee teacher, you’re probably here for the same reason. 🫶🏼 Follow for more Year 1 classroom ideas, continuous provision, teacher life and assistant headteacher content. #Year1Teacher #PrimaryTeacher #TeachingTikTok #TeacherLife #KS1Teacher

In the drafts from last week! 🪙🏴☠️ REAL WORDS OR ALIEN WORDS? 👽 A simple phonics continuous provision idea for Year 1! 📚✨ Inspired by the popular Buried Treasure phonics game, I set up this tuff tray for the children to practise decoding, segmenting and blending words independently. The children had to sort the words into two groups: 🪙 Real words – words they recognised as real words 👽 Alien words – nonsense words that they could still decode using their phonics knowledge I love activities like this because they give children the opportunity to apply their phonics sounds and blending skills in a practical, hands-on way rather than just reading from a list. You could easily adapt this for different phonics phases by changing the words and sounds included, making it suitable for Reception or Year 1 continuous provision. 💾 Save this for your next phonics provision setup and send it to a teacher who is always looking for new phonics activity ideas! Year 1 maths continuous provision ➡️ place value 🔢 Setting up this week’s maths tuff tray for our Year 1 place value learning! 🧮✨ The children can choose different representations to build and represent numbers, including Base 10, counters, ten frames and Numicon-style resources. They then have to think about how the same number can be represented in different ways. I’ve also added numbers around the tray as prompts so the children can choose a number and show it using the resources available. This is a great way to encourage children to recognise numbers, count accurately, understand tens and ones and explain their mathematical thinking. I love using continuous provision in Year 1 because it gives children the opportunity to revisit key maths concepts independently, practise their skills and apply what they’ve learnt beyond the maths lesson. 💚 Save this for your next Year 1 maths provision setup and share it with a teacher who is planning place value! Year 1 continuous provision idea 💭📚 This week’s phonics provision is an I Spy phonics game 🔎 The children have to look carefully at a picture, find an object containing a particular sound and then write the word. In this example, I modelled finding a chair for the sound “ch”. The children then use the whiteboards and pens on the tuff tray to segment and blend the word before writing it independently. It’s a simple, low-prep activity that gives children lots of opportunities to practise recognising sounds, hearing sounds in words, segmenting and blending, and applying their phonics knowledge. 💡 You could easily make your own version to match whatever topic or theme you are exploring in your classroom — making continuous provision feel purposeful while reinforcing the learning from your phonics lessons. 💾 SAVE this idea for your next Year 1 provision set-up and 🔄 SHARE it with a teacher who is always looking for new phonics provision ideas! Day in the life of a Year 1 teacher & Assistant Headteacher… but today was a leadership day edition 👩🏫📚 Today looked a little different to my usual day in Year 1! I started by making sure the HLTA in my classroom had everything she needed and all of the resources were ready for the day. Then it was time to update my maths action plan for the term before heading out on a learning walk with our Trust Maths Lead, looking at maths lessons across the school. Having her expertise alongside me was so valuable in my new role. Fun fact: when I did my Primary Education degree, I chose maths as my specialism 🎓➗ And honestly, I’m so pleased that the knowledge and experience I gained during my degree is coming in very handy in my current role! Then came a working lunch, followed by preparing a presentation for tonight’s staff meeting with feedback from the learning walk and some areas for development I’d like us to work on going forward. After school, I prepared resources for the supply teacher who’ll be in my classroom tomorrow because I’m heading to head office for a Headteacher Conference focused on maths. So by the end of tomorrow, my brain may officially be 100% maths… and honestly, I’m here for it 😂➗ Now it’s time to go home, decompress and enjoy a well-earned hot cup of tea ☕️ Bring on tomorrow! If you’re a teacher in a leadership role, what does your day look like when you’re not in the classroom? 👇 Disclaimer: nothing was filmed during school hours. I don’t have my phone out during the day for safeguarding reasons. #Year1Teacher #PrimaryTeacher #AssistantHeadteacher #TeacherLeadership #PrimaryEducation

Teacher life in September: one minute the guillotine is working perfectly… and the next it has decided that cutting paper is simply no longer part of its job description. 😂✂️ The forwards and backwards. The pressing down. The questioning of every life choice that led me to this moment. And still… NO CUT. 😭 If you’re a primary school teacher, you’ll know that preparing resources somehow involves approximately 47 different battles with printers, laminators, guillotines and technology. 😂 Raise your hand if you have EVER been personally victimised by a school guillotine. 🙋♀️ If you’re a teacher, ECT, trainee teacher or teaching assistant surviving September, I see you. 😂 #PrimaryTeacher #TeacherTok #TeacherLife #ClassroomPrep #SeptemberTeacher

Spend the morning with me as a Year 1 teacher AND assistant headteacher ✏️📚 It had already been a VERY busy morning before the children had even arrived! 😂 I wasn’t in school the day before because I had a medical appointment, so it was really helpful to come in and find a note from the teacher who covered my class with all the important updates from the day. Then it was straight into catching up with my partner to make sure we were both on the same wavelength with where our children were up to in our maths unit. After talking it through, we decided that we needed to take the learning back a step — something that’s so important when you’re assessing what your Year 1 children actually understand rather than just pushing through the planned sequence. Then came the less exciting but VERY necessary jobs: trimming and loading resources, getting my Read Write Inc. Green Words and Alien Words ready for phonics, and sorting out the visual timetable so the children know exactly what’s happening throughout the day. So much happens before the children even walk through the door! 🥹 If you’re a Year 1 teacher, KS1 teacher, trainee teacher, ECT or primary teacher, come and follow along for more realistic classroom routines, phonics, maths, continuous provision and teacher life. What’s the first thing you do when you get into school in the morning? 👇 #Year1Teacher #PrimaryTeacher #KS1Teacher #ReadWriteInc #TeacherMorningRoutine

September is basically the teacher equivalent of disappearing off the face of the earth 😂👻 Sorry to everyone I’ve ghosted… I’m a primary school teacher surviving September. The first few weeks of the school year are EXHAUSTING. You’re teaching routines, modelling expectations, repeating instructions, reinforcing boundaries, learning names, figuring out what works for each child and basically laying the foundations for the entire year. And honestly? It takes SO much energy. But putting the work in now really does matter. 💪🏼 Those routines you teach and reteach. Those expectations you consistently reinforce. Those boundaries you calmly hold. Those procedures you practise until the children know them without you asking. It can feel like you’re spending all day repeating yourself… but you’re building independence, consistency and a classroom where everyone knows what’s expected. So if September has left you absolutely shattered, you’re not doing it wrong. You’re doing the groundwork. 🫶🏼 Survive September so you can thrive for the rest of the school year. 🍎📚 If you’re another teacher currently surviving September, I see you. 👀😂 #PrimaryTeacher #TeacherTok #BackToSchool #ClassroomManagement #TeachingTips

The clean-up is ALWAYS the hardest part of continuous provision 😂😭 Thinking of a new continuous provision idea? Easy. Setting up the tuff tray? Exciting. Actually clearing away the last activity, scraping off the bits, finding all the random resources and getting the tray ready for something new? 🫠 Why does resetting the tuff tray feel like a whole separate job?! If you’re an EYFS or KS1 teacher constantly setting up and resetting continuous provision, tell me I’m not the only one 😂 Save this for your next continuous provision reset and follow for more EYFS and KS1 classroom ideas, tuff tray activities and teacher life content! #ContinuousProvision #TuffTrayIdeas #EYFSTeacher #KS1Teacher #TeacherTikTok
